At least 60 members of al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabaab were killed in an explosion in Somalia on June 7.
According to the Somali National Army Radio reports, terrorist group used the house as a site to prepare explosives. It was located in the village of Ala-Futow, located some 285 kilometers (177 miles) from the capital Mogadishu.
The explosion took place late on Monday and claimed lives of at least 60 al-Shabaab members, 6 of them were foreigners.
A woman and her child who were near the exploded house also died in the blast, according to SNA Radio.
Al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda affiliate, was push out of Mogadishu in 2011 and lost most of its strongholds, but it is still active in the country and carries out terrorist attacks on a regular basis.
