CNN appears to be on a roll, as it once again reports fabricated news. This time the report related to an arrest of three men by Italian police.
The men were found in possession of an air-to-air missile and Nazi paraphernalia. In addition to the missile, which has no explosive but “resettable” charge, Digos investigators seized 9 assault rifles, a submachine gun, 7 guns, 3 shotguns, 20 bayonets, nearly a thousand cartridges and many parts of weapons.
The three man are as follows: Fabio Del Bergiolo, Fabio Bernardi and Swiss citizen Alessandro Monti.
Fabio Del Bergiolo is known as having ran for the Italian Senate in 2001 as a candidate for the Forza Nuova party. The Forza Nuova is an extreme right party.
The political party Forza Nuova has denied any current connection with Del Bergiolo.
“If one of the arrested was a candidate of Forza Nuova way back in 2001 (18 years ago!), we affirm that on the contrary none of the people involved have been militants of Forza Nuova – which has nothing to do with the search this morning,” a press officer for Forza Nuova told CNN.
Bergiolo’s lawyer explained that his client was a “weapons enthusiast.” And what self-respecting weapon enthusiast doesn’t have an air-to-air missile in his collection.
“My client is a collector and they sequestered weapons that were in his home. These weapons were not registered, but they were not connected to terrorism,” Moscatelli said.
“There was a misunderstanding with the Nazi paraphernalia, he also had fascist and USSR paraphernalia, but they (the police) only took things with swastikas,” he added.
After all, in some countries in Europe possession and sale of Nazi paraphernalia is prohibited by law. And, to be fair, Italy isn’t one of them.
Bergiolo was arrested for acting as an intermediary in the weapons’ sale, while the other two for the alleged possession and intent to sell the arms.
Now, this is where the story gets interesting:
- CNN reported that the three men were arrested as a result of a police investigation of Italians “with extremist ideology” who had fought alongside Russian-backed separatist forces in Donbass, eastern Ukraine in July 2018. Thus, CNN claimed the three men had fought alongside the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
Provided is a screenshot of the CNN article, if it “accidentally” gets changed at a later time.
That is completely untrue.
- The initial version police website report said the following:
“The investigation began about a year ago when the police headquarters in Turin, coordinated by the Central Directorate of Prevention Police had monitored some people linked to the political movements of the ultra-right and who had fought in the Ukrainian region of Donbass against the separatists.”
Note the importance of the phrase “initial report.”
- Just hours later, the report looked like this:
“The investigation began about a year ago when the police headquarters in Turin, coordinated by the Central Directorate of Prevention Police had monitored some Italian fighters with extreme ideologies responsible in the past for having taken part in the armed conflict in the Donbass region of Ukraine.”
Provided is a screenshot of the older version – left and the new one – right.
It still doesn’t confirm the CNN’s description of events, but it is much more ambiguous and unclear. It is interesting, also, that the original source of the information changed its version to somewhat fit a report based on it.

But the end result is clear – CNN paints a narrative in which a group of men, suspected of illegal weapon sales and being Nazis were arrested and they took part in the Donbass conflict on the side of Donetsk and Luhansk.
In reality, these men took part in the conflict on the side of “Ukrainian democracy,” in which the Bandera ideology reigns supreme and in which known neo-Nazis are running for public office.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
It’s not that I expected anything else from pathetic lying pro-establishment channel. FAKE NEWS at it’s finest.
I don’t know if it’s “at it’s finest” since to be finest, it would have to be believable and nothing CNN states is believable :)
Critical.minds are few and far between brother.
If no one takes the time to look into what CNN says, they win….thats why were bombarded with all.sorts of identity politics BS and all kind of other polarizing topics that keep us the people guessing as to what the hell is actually going on.
There is a war going on for our minds!

Thank you for a good addition to my point.
Its nice to see im not alone in my sentiments.
There are many, not believing the spin the 6 corporations, controlling international media, try to pass off as news. Take care.
It’s why CNN has no comment section.
Daily Mail, ran the story, in a similar manner. Was told the BBC was also running the ‘Maidan Nazis’, working from Donetsk. They left out the ‘slaughtering people from Donetsk’, as they play on words.
Lying media – what else should be commented here on this news event. Included is the f.king trial to bring news consuming people onto the side of the “empire” and to be naive believers of a never ending betrayal.
Concrete Mike might be right saying “There is a war going on…”
I like your choice of words .
You said “news consuming people”.
This means alot! You recognized that “news” is a commodity, a product that is manufactured and refined. The news industry try to fools us with a veneer of purity and objectivity.
We both recognize thats its a business, a business to make money, truth be damned as long as they sell!
I noticed around 2011that most news sources all aggregate from a few sources like reuters and AP.
So as i was looking at different places and different languages, hoping to find more info, something different, because they all said the same.
And then its down the rabbit hole from there.
CNN??? Slovenian philosopher Slavuj Zizek told once: ‘I woke up, went outside and saw beautiful sunny day. Went inside and CNN reported that Slovenia has beautiful sunny day. I went out again if it is really beautiful sunny day.’

Luckily CNN ratings are in a tailspin…
