Another Wave Of Ukrainian Attacks Ends With Heavy Losses (Videos)

The Russian military repelled another wave of attacks by Kiev forces in several directions, according to the September 7 briefing of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the Zaporozhye direction, at least 14 Ukrainian attacks were repelled by Russian forces close to Verbovoye and Rabotino.

According to the ministry, Kiev forces lost 110 troops, two tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, one American-made M109 self-propelled howitzer, one American-made M777 towed howitzer, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, British-made FH-70 towed howitzer, two Msta-B and D-30 towed howitzers as well as one Ukrainian-made Bukovel-AD anti-drone electronic warfare system.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repelled nine attacks by Kiev forces close to Kleshcheevka, Andreevka and Khimki.

Up to 320 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded during the fighting in this direction, the ministry said, adding that one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, 12 motor vehicles, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, two D-30 towed howitzers and one D-20 towed howitzer were destroyed.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Zapad Group of Forces repelled four attacks by the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade. The group also targeted several Ukrainian positions near Kislovka.

Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 55 troops, two motor vehicles, three American-made M777 towed howitzers and one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, according to the ministry.

And in the Krasny Liman direction, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repelled an attack by Ukraine’s 67nd Mechanised Brigade close to Chervonaya Dibrova.

Kiev forces lost 60 personnel, two armored fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks during the fighting, the ministry said in its briefing.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Vostok Group of Forces targeted Ukrainian units near Staromayorskoye. The group also repelled an attack close to Novomayorskoye and neutralized two sabotage and reconnaissance groups in a nearby area.

The ministry said that 180 Ukrainian troops, two armored fighting vehicles, five motor vehicles, one Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, two D-30 towed howitzers and one Giatsint-B towed howitzer were neutralized in this direction.

Meanwhile in the Kherson direction, Kiev forces lost up to 25 troops, two motor vehicles and two American-made M777 towed howitzers to Russian military fire.

In addition, three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups from the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade were neutralized on the Pereyaslavsky Island.

The Russian MoD also provided the following details during its briefing:

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralized manpower and military hardware in 117 areas.

One S-300ps SAM system has been destroyed near Lyubimovka (Zaporozhye region).

Field ammunition depots of 3rd assault and 79th airborne assault brigades of the AFU have been destroyed close to Krasnoye and Novomikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defense systems have intercepted 11 HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as one JDAM guided aerial bomb.

In addition, 41 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Belogorovka, Melovatka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Spornoye, Vodyanoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Mirnoye (Zaporozhye region), and Golaya Pristan (Kherson region).

In total, 467 airplanes, 248 helicopters, 6,467 unmanned aerial vehicles, 436 air defense missile systems, 11,711 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,148 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,274 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 12,776 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Moreover, Russian news sources shared videos showing recent strikes with Lancet loitering munitions which destroyed or damaged several pieces of military equipment of Kiev forces, including two Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, a Buk-M1 medium-range air defense system and an American-made M777 towed howitzer.

Ukraine launched its counteroffensive more than three months ago. Despite the heavy losses and minimal results, the Kiev regime appears to be determined to go on with the counteroffensive, possibly to appease NATO and other backers who provided over $200 billions in military aid.
