The United States, the United Kingdom and other allies launched strikes against the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen on January 12, de-facto starting another unwinnable war.
The Houthis, who control much of Yemen’s Red Sea coast, are a part of the so-called “Axis of Resistance” which is led by Iran.
The group have been attacking commercial ships linked to Israel or bound for Israeli ports and have engaged directly with the U.S. Navy in the Red Sea, firing anti-ship ballistic missiles and deploying suicide drones against U.S. and UK warships.
The attacks were a response to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 23,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children. The U.S. continues to be a key backer of the war.
President Joe Biden said that he ordered the strikes on Yemen “in direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks against international maritime vessels in the Red Sea.” British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the strikes were “necessary and proportionate”.
The U.S. said that Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands also supported the attack on Yemen, and presented the strikes as part of an international effort to restore the free flow of trade in a key route between Europe and Asia that accounts for about 15 percent of the world’s shipping traffic.
U.S. Air Forces Central Commander Lieutenant General Alex Grynkewich said that U.S. and coalition forces “executed deliberate strikes on over 60 targets at 16 Iranian-backed Houthi militant locations, including command and control nodes, munitions depots, launching systems, production facilities, and air defense radar systems.”
More than 100 precision-guided munitions “of various types” were used, according to the U.S. commander.
The Houthi-run Al Masirah TV said that the strikes hit the al-Dailami air base north of the capital, Sanaa, the airport in the strategic port city of Hodeidah, a camp east of Saada, the airport in the city of Taiz and an airport near Hajjah. The extent of the damage wasn’t immediately clear. Five Houthis were reportedly killed and six others were wounded.
Although the U.S. has carried out strikes against Iranian-backed assets in Iraq and Syria since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, this marks the first known strike against the Houthis in Yemen.
The strikes on Yemen were condemned by Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the Palestinian Hamas movement, Iran and several Iranian-backed armed factions in Iraq.
In their first response, the Houthis said that there was no justification for the strike. The group also vowed to respond and said that it will continue to target ships heading towards Israel.
The battle-hardened Houthis possess advanced long-range offensive capabilities and they are considered one of Iran’s closest allies. The strikes on the group will without a doubt backfire. The U.S., UK and other allies could soon find themselves facing another unwinnable war in Yemen, one that could cost them much more than the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

according to him, the “novorossia” project, which involved the occupation of the territory of ukraine by russia, was developed by the russian special services long before the events in maidan. and girkin, as the responsible fsb officer, created a network of saboteurs in ukraine to implement this project even before the overthrow of president yanukovych.”

russians are “courageous” for bombing ukraine? it’s okay when they do it but not okay if another side resorts to air strikes in response to getting attacked? russia, china, and the broader eastern bloc are imperialistic as well. they are all members of the wef whose jewish spokesman yuval harari openly talks about enslaving everyone on earth for the sake of “sustainable development”.
russia is no better. t.me/eternalmuscovite/53364

the houthis do have long range anti ship missiles. unlike the claims of the us and company, there haven’t been any direct attacks against us or alli3d military vessels as of yet. the intercepts were claimed to be attacks but likely weren’t. the houthis if they were gonna attack would have launched dozens of missiles at a single ship to make an example. the loss of which would be a major blunder for us government and the white house.
well, now that the west has attacked yemen, there should be no excuse left to not attack western warships. lets see if this theory was correct in the next few days.
unlike rus, ymn alone doesn’t have the military capability to either deter or withstand a u-s-nato ‘shock and awe’ blanket bombing. it has to concentrate on keeping up the pressure on isr shipping and hope that iran (and the likes of rus/prc) are shamed into getting involved.
unfortunately i suspect rus and prc are already bought and sold by murica judging by their pathetic showing at the unsc.
the us and nato couldn’t even beat afghan nationalists i.e. the taliban, so has zero chance against the houthis.

tell me, is that how you deal with a problem in your life as well?
the us give ukraine intel, weapons, money, aid, even sent mercenaries… did russia attack the us/nato?
fuk no, that is not their goal – in case of yemen they can just launch their attacks on cargo ships by doing that all the work of the us forgotten and seen useless.
they need to do something biblical already, nothing low budget!
the us americans are by far the dumbest idiots of all time
if you haven’t learned anything 50 years after vietnam, you fall into the same trap again.
sorry, they just didn’t deserve it any other way
the avg murica citizen is extremely complacent and is too busy watching netflix to do anything about it. once the economy in their personal life worsens they have a “surprised pikachu face” and beg for money on gofundme then they vote for the same politicians and go back to watching netflix until they need their next fix, provided ofcourse they don’t become homeless first.
most us citizens are brainwashed by the system and all are under control of totally corrupt politicians and the banksters who are the puppet masters.
the situation is very different from the war in vietnam.
during the vietnam war, the soviet union up to that point had been getting stronger every year.
the us was able to secure a win against saudi arabia, blackmail them into selling oil for dollars in exchange of protection against israel, to which the saudis were relieved to hear that this was the only condition for having opposed one of the empire’s vassal states.
saudi arabia at that time was a very fragile energy superpower and an a newly formed absolute monarchy. it sunk the soviet union as it was a fragile energy superpower as well.
both very dependent on oil and those tend to be exported a lot.
today we have a china superpower twice as strong as the soviet union has ever been, mostly from coal.
natural gas is found mostly in russia and iran, which can’t be exported overseas as easy oil can, so most goes to eu and china, except the eu blocked it and the us blew it up.
saudi arabia is turning around because since china isn’t an oil exporter like the su, but importer,
so they longer have to bow down to us blackmail.
thene there’s the us who decided to go all in with shale, which resulted into massive amounts of investments into a losing industry. the production is massive, but that’s because the costs keep going, which can only be remedied by increasing the production.
in other words, if the war in vietnam is considered a tie,
then ukraine and yemen will be a defeat.
guess which minor religion is n charge of the entire us administration and establishment. oy vey.
………………………………
do you think a western army can advance on the narrow sandy roads in the mountains of yemen? 3 guys with rpg can stop a complete army there. and they got a lot of enemy weapons and ammo from the previous war after ambushing several armies lmao
they are desperate because war is all they know. old dog with no new tricks.
also they earn taxpayer money with this stuff. besides it is a distraction (smoke and mirrors) for citizens. they are made scared and do not complain their money is disappearing and the governments are deceiving them because they are kept busy by mass media (usually called the ‘strategy of tension’ by cia).
canada you mean trudeau and nazi oun, freeland support genocide in gaza.
if you shoot at international shipping, the bad people will come and everything will be on fire with big holes in it and no selfies for you. or food. or water. or electricity. or gasoline. or help. houthis are stupid.
the bad people have been attacking yemen for sixty years, dipshit.
you left out his middle name, dip ‘in’ shit.
“karate buryat”
no need for selfies anymore, there are enough videos online with captured armoured vehicles, thousands of weaponry and ammo and many enemy tanks burning.
well, the same goes with sizing ships in international waters or sanctioning nations, companies and civilians!
dont worry, they rely only on air strikes. air strikes dont win wars
in response to the serial aggression of the angloids the iranian proxies should sink a large tanker in the suez canal, and increase the attacks in the red sea in
the strategy of iran is to drag the anglo zionist mafia to get bogged down in multiple unwinnable conflicts. israel, britain and america are going down. their influence and image are irreversibly on decline. we collectivly from the global south outnumber them and we will defeat them

houthis you really need to do something biblical eventually, nothing low budget!
