Pro-Turkish militant groups and the Turkish Armed Forces have launched a fresh push in the direction of the key town of al-Bab in the Syrian province of Aleppo.

Local sources report that now heavy clashes are ongoing between Turkish forces and ISIS units in the northern outskirts of al-Bab.

At least 6 Turkish soldiers have been reported injured.

Al-Bab is currently controlled by the ISIS terrorist group and has been an apple of discord among the Syrian government, Kurdish YPG forces and Ankara-led forces since the start of Turkish intervention in Syria few months ago. (Please, read this SF analysis to get more info on this issue)

interesting. so they’d let the turkish forces take al bab and then flush them out… by that time Aleppo should be free and SAA should have enough force to go contain the turkish threat. i sincerely hope they do it, otherwise it’s going to prove a problem in the future. that’s a no-brainer.
