Angry Refugees Block Greek Immigration Minister From Entering Camp In Athens (VIDEO)

Angry protesting refugees at the Ellinikon camp near Athens didn’t allow Greece’s Immigration Minister, Ioannis Mouzalas,  to visit the camp on Monday.

The event took place at the entrance gates of the abandoned Greek international airport which had been turned into a refugee camp in autumn of 2015.

The video below shows a crowd of protesters physically blocking the minister from entering the camp and confronting with police. As a result Mouzalas left minutes after arriving

Over 200 refugees at the Ellinikon camp reportedly announced a hunger strike on February 5, protesting against what they call appalling living conditions at the site.
