“After Us Though The Flood”: J. Biden Authorizes Strikes Deep Into Russian Territory. International Reactions

Insane escalation for the sake of escalation that some are madly afraid of and others refuse to believe. Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike Russian territory.

On November 17, major Western media (The New York Times, Reuters, AFP) spread the shocking news that outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden had allegedly authorized the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike deep into Russian territory with American long-range missiles. The New York Times explained this by the fear of a large-scale Russian offensive in the Kharkiv direction, as well as the supposed presence of the North Korean military in the Kursk Region. At the same time, it failed to cite any official document or a recent statement by the US authorities that the White House had given the “green light” to the Ukrainian military.

“The Biden administration has authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied ballistic missiles for attacks inside Russia. It is a major policy shift. The missiles are known as the Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS (pronounced “attack ’ems”). They are likely to be initially employed against Russian and North Korean troops to support Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region of western Russia.” – The New York Times.

The White House, the Pentagon, and the heads of European countries have not yet officially confirmed reports about the authorization for Ukraine to strike deep into Russia. However, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky could not resist gloating and said in his Telegram channel that Russia should now wait and fear Ukrainian retaliation.

“Many media are reporting that we [Ukraine] have been given permission to retaliate. Let me remind you that one of the points of my “plan for victory” has always been the so-called “long-range capacity for the army”. Of course, such things can not be announced, but “the missiles will speak for themselves.” – Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian politician.

After a while, Le Figaro, also without specifying the sources, reported that the French and British authorities had given Kiev a similar authorization to strike Russia with long-range weapons. However, the publication was removed the next day.

Joe Biden himself, currently attending the G20 summit in Brazil, refused to comment on the issue. A Pentagon spokesman also kept silence. Only the German Cabinet of Ministers said that the United States had indeed informed the German authorities about the decision to authorize the strikes.

“Yes, the German government has been made aware of this, and no, it does not affect the chancellor’s decision not to deliver the Taurus.” – German Cabinet spokesman Wolfgang Büchner.

Future member of Donald Trump’s administration, Ilon Musk, reminded “war hawks” on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that Moscow would react to the use of long-range missiles in a mirrored manner. He also agreed with the argument that “liberals love a war that favors the enlargement of government.”

The eldest son of the American president-elect had some pretty harsh words for the leaders of the countries that allowed Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range missiles.

As for the reaction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, he has not yet personally commented on it in detail. However, it should be recalled that back in September, he noted that authorizing strikes deep into Russian territory would mean direct involvement of countries in the Ukrainian conflict, since only NATO military personnel can make flight assignments to Western long-range missile systems.

Earlier, in June this year, Vladimir Putin warned that Moscow, in response to the Western actions, may start supplying long-range weapons to regions of the world, from where “strikes will be launched against the sensitive facilities of those countries that do this against Russia.” Later, the Russian president clarified that this could include the delivery of Russian precision weapons to the North Korea.

The Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to the high-profile news by saying that “if such a decision was indeed made and announced to the Kiev regime, then, of course, this is a new stage of tension and a new situation in terms of the involvement of the United States in this conflict.”

Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, expressed himself more emotionally:

“The authorization for Western missile strikes against Russia would be an unprecedented act by a leaving elder who will no longer be responsible for anything in two months.

To sum up, we still don’t see all the details of this story. Questions remain open about additional ATACMS deliveries, as well as the possible use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of European Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles instead. So far, it is only clear that Donald Trump’s team intends to purge the ranks of the generals, so sooner or later many American generals risk being court-martialed for their crimes. Against this background, they will think twice before following the criminal orders of a man who is about to cease to be president. After all, the Pentagon itself and American intelligence have repeatedly admitted the obvious fact: these strikes will have no effect on anything, because most of the truly important Russian military targets are located far beyond the range of such missiles.
