Afghan Security Forces Retreat From More Areas As Taliban Advances In Herat Province

On September 20, the Taliban captured Koz Pur, Bar Kano, Atish Khano and several other areas in Rabat Sangi district of Herat province in northern Afghanistan, according to Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad. The media outlet added that Afghan Army soldiers withdrew to nearby mountains.

Moreover, Taliban fighters ambushed a convoy of the Afghan Army on Kandahar-Herat highway in Mir Haydar area of Shindand district in Herat province. According to Voice of Jihad, 3 Afghan soldiers were killed, 4 other were injured and 4 vehicles of the Afghan Army were destroyed.

The Taliban attacks in northern Afghanistan area became more effective in the last 2 weeks. However, the Afghan Army and NATO are still not reacting significantly to the Taliban advance in the area.

Meanwhile, Afghan sources claimed that Deputy Head of the Taliban Military in Helmand province Mullah Jailani was killed in an airstrike by the Afghan Army on September 21. These claims are still not confirmed.

In a separated development, Afghan official announced that the Afghan Police chief for the Jaghato district of Ghazni province in southern Afghanistan was killed in a roadside bombing on September 21. No side has claimed the responsibility of the assassination so far.

The Taliban is obviously able to rule the country, unlike the retard Afghan army. If the people don’t want the Taliban it is their job to take a stand. Sending more soldiers there will not solve anything.
