Afghan Army Recaptures 6 villages. Taliban Claims One Of Its Fighters Killed 25 Afghan Soldiers

On November 22, Maidan Wardak province police announced in an official statement that it captured the villages of Ali Khel, Zamni, Zeyolat, Ismail Khel, Mohammad Noor Khel and Dar-e-Kuhna Khomar from the Taliban during a joint operation with the Afghan Army in the province.

Maidan Wardak police said that 16 fighters of the Taliban including three commanders were killed. The Taliban commanders who were killed are Qari Yousof, Qari Mustafa and Qari Farid. Maidan Wardak police claimed that the commanders were trained in Pakistan.

Lately, the Afghan authorities and the US have been promoting an allegation that Russia, Iran and Pakistan are backing the Taliban in Afghanistan, without providing any real evidence.

Meanwhile, the Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad announced that a fighter of the Taliban infiltrated and attacked a checkpoint of the Afghan Army and police in Marjah district of Helmand province in the southern part of Afghanistan. Voice of Jihad claimed that 27 Afghan soldiers and policemen were killed and many others injured in the attack.

Moreover, Voice of Jihad reported that another fighter of the Taliban managed to attack a police station in Marjah district few days ago. Several Afghan policemen were killed or injured during the attack according to Voice of Jihad.
