And it was long overdue that they did. Her trial was a farce and her detainment an embarrassment to Russia. Just what is your trite comment on why Ukraine faces economic collapse supposed to mean, anyway?
The farce is the verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian so -alled parliament, more appropriately circus), where animals get routinely involved in fist fights. Why is it an embarrassment for Russia to condemn a rabid nazi complicit in the murder of Russian journalists? Ukraine is an USRahell colony being sucked up of all its resources and assets, with rampant cronyism, with Biden’s son appointed as chariman of a company vital for the economy,. Ukraine is no longer a country, if it ever was, and you sir are either paid to post your $h!t or a useful brainwashed idiot/
Brianwashed because I don’t subscribe to a one-sided version of events? That’s an ironic point of view. You lump a whole series of statements together as if they were equally true. Yes, I know perfectly well the West orchestrated a coup in the Ukraine, and their government is a corrupt mess which the West manipulates for it’s gain and to undermine Russia. Yes, I’ve seen the often comical proceedings of the Verkhovna Rada. I completely agree with you about those things. But to turn it into some kind of comic-book black and white view is absurd. You must be quite stupid to assume that every Ukrainian who fights for the other side is some kind of monstrous thug. Most soldiers (including volunteer groups like the one she fought with) are just people, thinking they are doing the right thing, manipulated into killing and dying by cynical elites. The ‘evidence’ presented against her was farcical. The whole trial was a political stunt. Cell phone records and various other evidence show she was already a prisoner before the journalists were killed. The journalists’ families asked Putin to pardon her, you know. Putin had the good sense and decency to comply. Good for him. Would that you’d learn something from him. If you are really so naive as to think that just because the West is far more in the wrong here, that this means everyone who acts for their side is therefore evil, and that everyone on the Russian side is magically free from any bias, corruption, cynicism or wicked intent, I feel sorry for you. But you certainly aren’t making a very good case for the Russian side by presenting yourself as such a simpleton. Because the West does have far more wrongdoing under their belt, you’d make a far more convincing case by maintaining a scrupulous and emotionally detached objectivity, and admitting when the Russian blunder too.
