  • A spokesman of the Taliban political office in Qatar, Suhail Shaheen, denounced US President Donald Trump’s decision to call off negotiations with the group. He described decision as “surprising” and “astonishing” and once again recalled that the ceasefire would become possible after the withdrawal of foreign forces;
  • The Kabul-Baghlan Highway was reopened after governemnt forces repelled a Taliban attack on Pul-e-Khumri city;
  • Special forces destrpoyed an ISIS hideout in northern Kabul killing 2 terrorists;
  • 2 Taliban insiders opened fire at a checkpoint of government forces in the Shawalikot district, Kandahar Province. The Taliban claims 9 soldiers were killed.
