On August 10, the Houthis’ media wing released a new video of the group’s recent large scale attack on Saudi-backed forces in the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf.
The video shows Houthi fighters destroying fortified positions of Saudi-backed forces with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). The fighters also captured two pick-up trucks and loads of ammunition.
A number of Injured Saudi-backed fighters, who were abandoned by their comrades, can be also seen being rescued by the Houthis.
The Yemeni group captured 37 positions in the district of habb Wa al-Sha’af in the northern al-Jawf countryside, during the operation. More than 41 Saudi-backed fighters and commanders were reportedly killed.
Al-Jawf’s operation is another blow to the Saudi-led coalition and its local proxies, who have been attempting to secure the border line for more than four years, with little to no success.
