The Saudi-led coalition involved in the intervention of Yemen seems to be collapsing.

The United Arab Emirates-backed Southern Transitional Council has seized a presidential palace and most of military facilities in Yemen’s port city of Aden after several days of clashes with forces loyal to Saudi-backed ‘President’ Mansur Hadi. Saudi-backed forces had used Aden as their capital since the very start of the intervention because they are unable to capture the Yemeni capital of Sanaa from Ansar Allah (the Houthis) and its allies.

A spokesman for the Security Belt, forces linked with the Southern Transitional Council, told AFP news agency on August 10 that fighters from the group met no resistance when they seized the all-but empty presidential palace.

“We took the Maashiq palace from presidential [guard] forces without a fight,” he said.

The Saudi-backed Hadi government called the situation a coup.

“What is happening in the temporary [government] capital of Aden by the Southern Transitional Council is a coup against institutions of the internationally recognised government,” the Saudi-backed ‘Yemeni foreign ministry’ said in a Twitter post.

The tensions between the Hadi government and the Southern Transitional Council have always been an open secret. However, the years of Saudi-led coalition failures in the conflict against the Houthis have deepened differences between the formal allies.

Now, when it’s clear that the Saudi-led coalition is not capable of capturing eastern Yemen (at least its vital areas like al-Hudaydah, Sanaa) and even securing own border to prevent Houthi attacks, the sides involved in the Saudi-UAE-led effort in the country have joined an increasingly tense struggle for power within southern Yemen.

Undoubtedly Saudis are pork eating Israelis. They are atheists. Just they attacked Yemen not for Abdur rabu mansur Hadi but for annexation. Now God will punish them all.

from what i can gather, Saudi is getting spanked and thats a good thing yeah?

Zionism = EVIL

The Saudi shitheads are illiterate and did not understand the Yemeni hatred for them. The Ansarallah are openly directing the fight with their “technical” Toyotas inside Aden now. Al Mayadeen is showing red beret Yemeni special forces leading the STC forces against the Wahhabi losers.

UAE are supporting the side fighting saudi?

Zionism = EVIL

Yes, they also signed a security agreement with Iran. They had armed around 5,000 Sunni militias around Aden but they turned on the Saudis.

Zionism = EVIL

The erstwhile “warrior prince” MBS moron has fucked up so bad that he has me laughing in stitches. The Saudi retards totally failed to understand the tribal and sectarian nature of Yemen and now the moderate Sunni tribes have allied themselves to the AnsarAllah. The STC is the new version of the socialist southern rebels who wanted an independent south and that also suits the AnsarAllah. The fighting in Aden is clearly being directed by AnsarAllah and Yemeni special forces and photos of Houthi leader Husein al Houthi have sprung up all over the South. The Saudi shitheads are in the biggest cluster fuck of their pathetic lives.

Shadow Blade

Fun fact : STC is also a name of a saudi telecom company

Zionism = EVIL

Probably run by hard working industrious Yemenis as the Saudi lazy illiterate shitheads can not even change a car tire :)

wwinsti

10 up votes for Zionism=EVIL.????

Shadow Blade

According to local sources it was run by Filipino,Pakistani,Afghani and Indian expats. but eh close enough

Zionism = EVIL

The FACT is that the Wahhabi Saudi pigs are illiterate and most have diabetes due to pigging out, so the Asians do all the work. I once saw a Saudi pig near Jeddah waiting besides his car with a flat tire for some Asians to show up and change it.

Unknown

Judging by your extreme hatred towards the Saudis, i bet you will kill one before an Israeli.

Unknown

So you don’t only hate the government, but also the regular Saudi citizen. i bet you will kill one Saudi civilian before you even think of hurting an Israeli soldier.

Yemen……………….is Vietnam in arab……………..

Now we know why Ansarallah did not press further in Dhale, there was no need. The initial success of the Ansarullah offensive, taking the regional capital, demonstrated the Coalition to be impotent and that even Aden was not safe. Now Aden is safe, although not in the way that MbS would hope.

Ansarullah’s strategy has succeeded with the Coalition’s death spiral and now culminating in the fall of Aden, ending once and for all the illusion that Hadi had any real power in Yemen.

The Coalition is dead.

Zionism = EVIL

What coalition? the Saudi pigs are even hated by fellow Wahhabis of Qatar, UAE and Kuwait. Now they are totally isolated and only have Americunt, Zionist, Brit gits and Froggy support, but the Euro-trash and Jew scum are not going to die in Yemen for the Saudi cowards.

S Melanson

They maintained the facade of a Coalition but it really was at best a temporary marriage of convenience with the messy divorce underway. And now for the next movie – the fall of MbS and the dissolution of Saudi Arabia.

Zionism = EVIL

The Saudis strutting on Americunt and Zionist support over-played their weak hand and did not realize the depth of Yemeni and regional hatred for them. The southern Yemenis around Aden have historically resented foreigners and were the key is kicking the British arseholes out. They also have socialist bent and are more sympathetic to the Zaidis historically. Now they are openly allying with the AnsarAllah who have entered the northern outskirts of Aden. The Saudi shithead have no real options left now.

Houthi relentless war of attrition strategy exhausts the Saudi Coalition

I wouldn’t be so quick to celebrate, maybe I’m too cynical?

STC (and it’s force, the Security Belt or Hezam-Amni) are a creature of UAE. It’s been some times that was apparent Hadi has lost his usefulness and whatever low legitimacy he was being lent by Saudi, Emirati, American and co. backers via UN.
So a coup has happened and “the people” ousted him. Somebody else will come. Saudi Arabia invited all sides (of Aden incidents) for talks in KSA and of course STC was happy to oblige.
Coalition warplanes bombed one positions in the north of Aden which was “a threat to a government position” but didn’t say what it was. They gave stern warning s to STC and Hezam to retreat from the newly acquired positions, although they quickly forgot and now want to sit and “talk”.

Some in the south are angry for the sacrifice of Hadi, they compared him with a ship which is being sacrificed in the Qurban celebration (Eid al-Adha which is tomorrow and the day after), saying Saudis fattened Hadi to slaughter him in the Arafah day and they (meaning Saudis and Emiratis) will do to Hadi what they did to GNA of Libya by their proxy, Haftar. Some even said it’s better to side with Ansarallah instead of “treacherous Saudis”. They say if Hadi asked Qatar and Turkey for help instead of Saudi/Emirati coalition he would be off better (Yes, you’ve guessed it, Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen said it).

Houthis called for an inter-Yemeni dialogue without any foreigner. Can STC and Hezam decide for themselves?

Emiratis say that Yemen is not going to be the same or like before, ever. They openly support a separation and creation of a country in the south (of course under their “supervision”) and are very vocal about it (a few times before I pointed out MbZ’s desire to create a commercial and transportation hub in there, a rival to Dubai and to make sure to prevent Iran from becoming one despite it’s natural advantages).
What I read from Arabic sources, they say Houthis are the winners of this quarrel. Iranian sources are just reporting without giving an opinion. What I think is this situation and subsequent “talks” can be the perfect excuse for Saudis to leave Yemen, leaving the south under Emirati proxies and securing the land for a pipeline to the India Ocean. That is, IF they succeed. In other words, Emirate’s proxies are executing a joint plan prepared by UAE, Saudis and their overlords.

STC is a separatist movement, dreaming about creation of a South Yemen and the flag they carry is the flag of South Yemen, a combination of Yemeni flag with flag of Yemen Socialist party (red star on light blue background). Like many colonies of the British, a civil war immediately followed the independence of “the colony of Aden” and “the federation of south Arabia”. I wonder why?
