UK To Deploy Royal Navy Marines To Persian Gulf To Coordinate With US Forces

The UK’s Royal Navy to deploy 100 Elite Royal Marines to the Persian Gulf, following an alleged attack on two tankers, the Sunday Times reported on June 16th.

Elite soldiers from 42 Commando will leave their Plymouth barracks to form Special Purpose Task Group 19, deploying on Royal Navy ships from Britain’s new Bahraini base.

It is unclear how many Royal Marines would be deployed in reality, since a day earlier the Daily Mail reported that 30 Elite Royal Marines would be sent to the Persian Gulf to take part in a training exercise.

‘This is a pre-planned training deployment and is in no way related to the ongoing situation in the Gulf of Oman,’ a MOD spokesman said, cited by the Daily Mail.

Regardless, according to the Sunday Times, the marines are expected to arrive in Bahrain “within weeks” as well as a team of British experts to assist in investigating precisely what materials were used in the tanker attacks.

UK defence minister and MP Tobias Ellwood told Sky’s Ridge on June 16th: “We have a substantial presence in the Middle East that looks after our interests there. We understand the Middle East, we have a number of allies there as well.”

He said that the deployment would be made in coordination with the US forces already present in the region:

“We will be working with the United States to make sure this area is safe and to make sure that we actually deescalate the tensions there but I don’t think Iran should be under any doubt [about] that fact that we will be determined to protect our assets and our interests in the region.”

This followed a report by Iranian outlet ISNA, which claimed that the Iranian Foreign Ministry had summoned the UK ambassador Rob Macaire over the “unacceptable” accusations levelled by London against Tehran.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe, Mahmoud Barimani said that Tehran expresses strong protest to Britain’s unacceptable anti-Iran stance.

“In the [closed-door] meeting of the UN Security Council last Thursday, no one but the UK accepted the unsubstantiated accusation levelled by Washington,” said Barimani.

“Even many well-known media outlets rejected the claim by the US and Britain, citing statements by the crew and authorities at the company which owns the tankers,” he said.

“The popular reactions against Britain emanate from such approaches adopted by this country in support of US officials’ unfounded allegations about different issues, including the issue mentioned above,” he said.

He urged the British government to adopt realistic stances which conform to the realities of the policies adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the need for London to revisit its approach.

On the US side, on June 16th, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News Sunday that despite there allegedly being no doubt that Iran attacked the tankers, and that there is “lots of data, lots of evidence,” to back it up.

He said that Washington will guarantee free navigation through vital shipping areas.

“The United States is going make sure that we take all the actions necessary, diplomatic and otherwise that achieve that outcome,” Pompeo said.

The only evidence so far is a grainy video that barely shows anything conclusive, even Japan requested more evidence to substantiate the claims that Iran carried out the attacks.

Nonetheless, Pompeo said that Trump and the White House didn’t want war with Iran.

“President Trump has done everything he can to avoid war. We don’t want war,” he said. “The United States is going make sure that we take all the actions necessary, diplomatic and otherwise that achieve that outcome,” Pompeo added.

Despite the claims, the rapid deployments in the Persian Gulf by Western forces and the primed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran at a high state of alert, a possible misstep that escalates the situation towards war may simple be around the corner.

On June 16th, Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani said that the attacks on the tankers in the Gulf of Oman were “suspicious” and a “complementary” to United States’ economic sanctions against Iranian nation.

Commenting on the oil taker attacks in the Gulf of Oman, Larijani said, “The suspicious action against oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman seems like a complementary measure to economic sanctions (against Iran), because they (US and its allies) gained nothing from the sanctions, especially given the US history in World War II, showing Washington had attacked its own ships near the Japanese soil to justify hostility against Japan”.

Mocking US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo’s recent statement advising Iran to use “diplomacy” to respond to political and diplomatic measures, the official said, “This is really funny”. Mentioning US’ sanctions against Iranian nation, he said, “Is violating commitments within Iran’s nuclear deal and waging an economic war against our nation a political measure? Are US actions against the Venezuelan President a diplomatic and political measure? Are the arm sales to Saudi Arabia against Yemenis and comprehensive support to the Zionists against Palestinians a political action?”

Translation: we brits think the 2 previous false flags were amateurish, let us show you how its done!

Barba_Papa

Well, they were amateurishly done. And the Brits have been at it for longer. So there.

FlorianGeyer

Britain will be able to use the ‘experts’ employed to create the Scripal story. :)

AM Hants

Even though English, remember how they cocked up the ‘Skripals’ false flag, not forgetting ‘Westminster Bridge’ false flag.

No doubt they will send the Mayor of London, old Khan, to take charge of the script. Remember, do believe over 60 fatal stabbings in London, recently, but, the only one arrested, was the woman who ‘deflated a balloon’, which had the appearance of Trump.

A desperate attempt to stay relevant.

Again why are you still in your mothers basement, I thought a rabid Ukrainian Canadian like you would have long ago joined the neo-fascist thugs to fight for the Ukrainian motherland in the Donbass. Or are you like miss Freedland, just a bunch rabid Russophobes bitching about Russia from the safety of Canada, like the true chickenshits that Ukrainian Canadians are. That being said, what the fuck does Russia have to do with this article about Iran, the Persian Gulf and the U.S. Are you such a pathetic Russophobe that you can’t even stay on target in spewing your vile idiocy. Fucking loser and chickenshit.

When will the UK accept that its time has past?

Not now because it is rule by gays and prostitutes.

Does have Israel enough power to push the US and UK to go to war against Iran ? Does has the western world gone totally mad? Are they willing to justify all the people claiming that the Zionists are dangerous criminals?

US Coalition False Flags have never demonstrated much intelligence

The people that create them probably think, that as they would believe the shite they peddle, the rest of the world will as well.

This is more evidence, if needed, that the US Coalition is a rabid gang of freaks.

It sho is, couldn’t get any accurate than this.

The US main weakness is Israel in Middle East.

The clock is ticking. Putin must support Palestine, Assad and Rohani to invade without scare and kick out all illegal forces of US, Israel and Turkey from Palestine and Syria otherwise Russia will vanish like USSR. If Russia win then entire world will consider Putin true leader.

stupid is as stupid does

Why would Putin want to be leader of the “entire world”?
He is Russian, not some megalomaniac.
Why Putin “must support” Palestine?!
Not single Arab, Muslim country activly supports Palestine so why Russia?!
( Arabs, Muslim countries should, but they do not activly support Palestine )
Except maybe they do, by giving lip service that doesn’t cost them anything really, or through small handouts…
Why Putin “must support” Assad or Rohani?
Putin only supports removing Western sponsored terrorists from Syria to protect Russia.
As for Assad, he is replacable like everybody else if necessary.
Putin is replacable also.
Nation is always more important than one person.
Iran is Shia “Islamic Republic” and has very litlle in common with Russia.
Russian Muslims are Sunni Muslims.
Russian and Iranian interests in general diverge always (even in Syria).
They only have common enemies (US,UK) and are allies of convinience only.
If Iran attacked, they will give modern weapons to Iran to make US & UK bleed lot !
But, that’s about it.

Unfortunately USANATO,Saudi,UAE and Israel thinking of closing Hormuz strait for Iran oil shipments with reckless false accusation is disastrous dream for them.If war start all USA NATO Israel and puppets ship will great mother ocean floor. No one is is safe of secure from brilliant and dangerous Iran missiles if Iran navy is oppress which will eventually result in preamtive USANATO provoked irresponsible reckless war.We are hours away from Babilon losing war.USANato and puppets will never ever defeat Iran and it will prompt Russia to support Iran after Iran proper results against enemies.

Sending those who investigated Skripal and notice how they will play on words, when trying to keep the US happy?

Wonder how the meeting with May and Trump went, over at the State Dinner, owing to UK assistance with trying to get Clinton into the White House?

Seems like Westminster is bending over backwards, with a smile on the MPs faces, to keep Trump sweet. Judging by Jeremy Hunt’s reactions/behaviour at the moment.

Yeah, pathetic isn’t it.

What has seriously wound me up, are a couple of articles, over on Zero Hedge.

I swear to God, I have no idea what planet I have woken up on. Would blame it all on drugs, but, don’t do them and cut down on the wine. Must be something in the coffee.

Trump: “I Think I Know” Who Was Behind 9/11 Attacks… https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-17/trump-i-think-i-know-who-was-behind-911-attacks

No doubt, Iran, Russia and China will get the blame and no doubt Trump will rotate the blame game, rather than look at his mates.

“Saddam & Bin Laden Ties” Redux: Pompeo Blamed Iran For Taliban Suicide Bombing… https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-17/saddam-bin-laden-ties-redux-pompeo-blamed-iran-taliban-suicide-bombing

Remind me, what was the Iraq War all about, besides Sadam and his WMDs? Weren’t they also trying to use 9/11, blaming Bin Laden? Who just happened to be the son of the Bush family’s business partners, for having connections in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and surprised he did not have an Irish connection.

‘We will invade 7 nations in 5 years, ending with Iran’ – General Wesley Clark, who is now training Nazis, over in Ukraine, how to lose a fight.

‘Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, finishing off, Iran’.

Zero Hedge… I actually enjoy the articles, but the comments section full of USA, USA, USA rednecks…. many of them repeat the only BS they know “Commie” this and that and bomb them. There are some good people on there, surprising (not) Canadian and British… but it is hard work.

Now Breibart or whatever it is called, as a many steps above Zero Hedge in no. of brainless wank-stains…God they are stupid (in general).

…………..

Regards the rest, in-breeds so, what they gotta do.

Keep on posting these….they hate it (in general), deny it and call you a commie for posting it….sweet.

http://www.jiesworld.com/international_corporations_in_china.htm

The last two are the best, as they cannot believe that they should blame the Corporations, only China is to blame and then honestly believe the economy is doing brilliantly.

PS Last line, you missed one I think…. Well, starting with Iraq, then Syria and Lebanon, then Libya, then Somalia and Sudan, and back to Iran.

AM Hants

Slightly better comments than Breit Bart. Apart from sado masichism, I have no idea why I check out the Breit Bart comment section. Max Mosely chooses a dungeon, with a female dominatrix, dressed in an SS uniform and I go to Breit Bart.

Past line, cheers, must admit, I do get stuck with regards the African nations, Wesley Clark spoke of. Reminds me of Rwanda and the UN waiting two decades, till the oil and diamond industry was up and running, to apologise for the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Rwanda. I had a Finnish boyfriend, who used to live in Rwanda, prior to moving back to the UK and interesting what he had to say. He is now back in Finland, as I now find myself laughing at relationships and passports. It is a running joke with friends, how when a relationship ends with me, the male ends up leaving the country haha, including my first husband. At least with the current, he spends most of his time working abroad, popping back to the UK, for respite, so slightly different script haha. So love a passport and the freedom it provides.

Your 3rd link reminds me of 10 corporations control almost everything you buy.

Haha, waiting for you to get going, but, get some wine down you. Don’t you just miss it?

Do believe President Putin sums it up perfectly:

Putin attacks Western views on gay rights and multiculturalism and says immigrants are free to ‘kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights are protected’ ahead of G20 meeting with May
Russian president gloated that western Liberalism ‘had outlived its purpose’ and ‘was on way the out’ of favour
Putin blasted Angela Merkel’s ‘cardinal mistake’ of allowing a million refugees to enter German in 2017
He said: ‘This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected’
He was speaking at the start of the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, where he will meet Theresa May later
Prime Minister will demand he takes responsibility for Salisbury poisoning and hand over Novichok assassins
He said: ‘This spy story, as we say, it is not worth five kopecks. Or even five pounds, for that matter’
Trump has met Putin today with the US President saying with a smile: ‘Don’t meddle’ in the US elections… https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7190613/Liberalisms-day-boasts-Putin.html

Seriously true and just love him, for putting his point across.
……………

Vladimir Putin taunts Britain over the Tory leadership race and claims Russia is MORE democratic than the UK
Russian President took aim at the way in which the UK’s next PM is being chosen
He questioned how a new prime minister could be installed without national vote
Tory members the only people able to vote in the race for Downing Street… https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7192137/Vladimir-Putin-taunts-Britain-Tory-leadership-race.html

Remember, how supportive the UK Government and intelligence were, where Clinton’s ambitions of getting into the White House, were concerned?

UK, who had no problem with Iran and refused to leave the JCPOA.

Then Trump turns up, by Royal Appointment, meeting the UK Foreign Secretary (who wants the keys to Number 10), at the airport. Jeremy, returns to London, with a very brown, sticky nose, with a stagnant smell, reminiscent of the London Sewage System, in the early 19th century.

Now little Jeremy cannot do enough for Donald and the Rothschild Mafia, he surrounds himself with. Funny, how the new Defence Secretary, appears mute, whilst committing the Forces to the latest ‘Rothschild Must Have’.
