The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have continued their scale offensive inside the Deir Hafer Plains of east Aleppo, striking the ISIS militants at the town of Sheikh Ahmad near the Kuweires Military Airport.

In answer, ISIS conducted their own assault inside the Deir Hafer Plains of east Aleppo. It aimed the recently captured city of Jabboul. ISIS reportedly was unable to take control of Jabboul after intense firefights with the SAA. Militants were forced to retreat to the east in order to regroup for the future activity.

Arab sources explain the SAA’s lack of progress with the absence of the Russian Air Force. Nonetheless, it will be wrong to ingore the ISIS powerful resistance in the sector.

The SAA carried a pinpoint military operation against a hideout for terrorists from the so-called “Ajnad al-Sham Islamic Union” in al-Latamneh town to the north of Hama city. At least 5 terrorists were killed during the operation, including a leader within the terrorist organization who is named Akram Ali al-Mahmoud.

Separatly, an armored vehicle and an al Nusra base were destroyed in an army operation in al-Hbeit village on the border between Idleb and Hama.

Another army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists from the “Jaish al-Islam” group in the farms between al-Latamneh and Maarkaba village. A number of terrorists were killed.

The SAA unit destroyed a vehicle belonging to al-Nusra on the road between the Meteorology Department building and al-Sad in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa city. Unconfirmed reports argue that the SAA also destroyed a number of terrorists’ positions and supply routes in Daraa al-Balad.

The Russian Air Force carried out 70 sorties in the past 24 hours targeting 120 terrorist targets in Idleb, Homs, Aleppo, Damascus Countryside, and Lattakia’s northern countryside on Wednesday. The sorties resulted in destroyed 11 command centers,13 rocket launch pads and artillery emplacements, 2 workshops for manufacturing explosive devices, 70 fortified positions, 21 training bases and centers, 3 munitions depots, and a grouping of vehicles used for transporting weapons and terrorists.

Iraqi army troops have managed to kill over 20 ISIS militants in Albu-Hayat area in the province of Anbar, as they push ahead with their anti-terror military operations. The attack led to the destruction of the militants’ headquarters and four of their vehicles.

Meanwhile, a bomb detonated near the village of al-Massoud in the eastern province of Diyala. The blast claimed the lives of two volunteer fighters from Iraq’s Popular Mobilization units and injured another.

What happened with the ISIS offensive against Al-Safira? Has the SAA repulsed the attack and at what scale? Are there any information on ISIS and SAA casualties?

Other websites report different story. For yesterday (Thursday, Oct 29), they report that ISIS has seized control of the eastern neighborhoods of Al-Safira and advancing towards the center of the city. This is not true, according to your sources?

Tony T.

They entered the outer areas and were beaten back as you can see in the video….it’s already old news. There are other battles taking place since then
