On December 25, the Israeli Air Force launched at least 22 missiles at alleged Hezbollah targets in the area of Damascus International Airport. The Syrian Air Defense Forces responded to the attack by intercepting the launched missiles and targeting Israeli jets. The Israeli Defense Forces were forced to employ own air defense systems to rescue the warplanes involved in the raid. MORE HERE
During the encounter, at least one Syrian surface-to-air missile malfunctioned and returned back slamming a building near Damascus. It’s unlcear what missile is filmed in the video, but most likely this was a S-125 or S-200 missile.

I would love to see some jew birds being brought down.
Prepare to be disappointed.
disappointment for those who seek justice…nothing new.
No way, Russian led alliance was jammed to the core.
Go back your to filthy hole and count your candles.
Fucking israeli snakes, cowards attacking from lebanon.
Probably, Israeli or coalition EW succeeded in jamming S-200 missiles.
Putin jam Syrian missiles to allow Israel to hit targets in order to get financial help from USA and Israel for rebuilding.I wil never trust Russia. Why are their not borrowing S400 to Syria which Russia easily sell to India and Turkey. The real enemies of Syria and Iran. This Russia modified weapons target Syria and not Israel.
If you insist in writing Zionist fairytales , you would be better served by less infantile comments.
are you feeble-minded mama´s boy??
Hilarious post. Financial help form the USA…..i laughed and laughed at that one.
The USA issue debt and call it a loan, have done for years.
If it was only 1 missile that malfunctioned then we could say; Yes, a malfunction. Unfortunately, there was more than 1 missile which was returned to SyAD, so, we can only assume IsraHell EW systems took control of them. Hopefully it was the S-125 that suffered rather the Pantsir S1/2.
Let us also remember a fallen Hero from the Xmas evening attack on Damascus A/P, Lieutenant Gabriel Ali Raya, murdered by the craven Cockroaches from Occupied Palestine.
I believe the separate videos of malfunctions are of the same missile. One is just from far away whereas the second video is of close up. So only 1 malfunctioning missile.
Israeli ECM/EW working?
Weird explosion second before the impact, radar/radio/proximity fuse picking up something?
It is, it explodes the same way when it reaches the target.
Yeah, what i thought
Oh, $#it!
We used to laugh at the Saudi state-of-the-art Patriot boomerang, what should we do now that a friendly 60 years old missile does just that? Oh, noooo… :]
At least the 60 years old didn’t blow on the ground like the brand new.
Israel is desperate to force Syria into a reaction, an eye for an eye as promised to reverse the US withdrawal. Will Syrians retaliate at this stage? I think not, not if they want to avoid giving Americans a pretext for a hot war.
0 Israeli planes intercepted
LOL
Now Syria is trying to pawn off Israeli missile strikes as “SAM malfunctions” Hahahaha
Russian defense is so fucking weak, what happened?
I thought Israel was too scared too attack?
Its not russian defense, its SyAD, they are in no way as skilled as the Russian ones, So i would not be surprised if they missed some shot.
Its like saying; look at the saudies and that POS US made shit, if you put an American behind the trigger it should raise the quality of the product.
And Remember that the platform is not the killer here, the ordnance is, therefore its logical to assume that they prioritized the ordnance and not the platforms .
and since Israel aint stupid, they just spam the missiles hoping that at last some of them gets through; spray and pray.
If you look at Some of the promo videoes from the ordnance manufactures, they put a rather high emphasis on spamming
Most of the missiles intercepted only handful got through!!
Tons of disinformation:
1.) This is the only confirmed Syrian Air Defense missile malfunctioning
2.) Jamming usually doesn’t work like this – but still may be a possibility
3.) idf had hard time getting through Syrian missile shield and launched 4 separate attack waves
4.) Still syria managed to down 48 missiles (confirmed)
5.) 7 missiles made it through and hit an ammo storage (confirmed) and a small building (unconfirmed)
6.) Multiple SAA soldiers wounded (confirmed). 1 SAA colonel KIA (unconfirmed)
7.) NO S-300’s were used. Only S-200s were used to target idf jets. Pantsir and BUK were used to intercept missiles.
8.) Syria needs S-300s to be deployed to Damascus asap
9.) Syria needs EW equipment stationed in Damascus to jam israeli radars/satellites/ and planes.
These may not be 1960s S-200s. Which is a mach 9 surface to air missile. S-200s are upgradable with modern electronics, flight systems, radars and warheads. There are reports that Buk missiles were also used. The Buk Mk III capability is said to be somewhere between S-300 and S-400 systems. Though Syria only has the Mk I & II.
Yes Russia upgrades any and all old missiles and systems they can as it is much cheaper and just as good as making new.
jajaj Israeli EW change the missile guide?…what a joke!..first of all if you ask to SAM operator when a missile hit a cruise missile flying low…the ground to air missile draw a parable..then dive the nose towards the cruise missile flying low and explode…thats is what happened in the video!…second: Russian sources told that only 2 missile/ guide bomb GBU 39 hit near a storage of 138 brigade around Damascus…but it not was a direct hit just Debris and pieces…thats why no video of big explosions and fire have been posted!..third: Be aware of zionist propagande like patriot system were launched to intercept S-200..thats fake as patriot speed is lower than S-200 beside S-200 are guide by radio command post and head seeker will not find patriot to change course!…
here come the knowitalls.
“…1.) This video is the only confirmed Syrian Air Defense missile malfunctioning…”
Confirmed by whom, Sukhoi-35? I didn’t hear the SAA or Russia saying anything about malfunctioning SAMs. Why would they?
Now this could actually be a video of a malfunctioning S-125, but the skeptic in me can’t give it anything but a lukewarm ‘maybe’. Not saying you’re wrong – all I have is a wild-assed guess. I’ll just offer some thoughts below, FWIW.
I keep looping this video trying to imagine a mach 3.5 5V27Dx – or rather the second stage motor – possibly giving off that much intense bright light when it’s coming roughly towards an observer. If it was traveling away from you, you would be looking directly at the burning engine exhaust – that I can understand, but it’s not the case here. A 5V27 does have a solid fuel second stage that burns pretty white. Maybe it really is this bright from the front as shown in the video. I really don’t know – never saw anything like it before. Then again, I never saw video of a lit-up Tochka coming head-on towards someone filming it, either.
I also find it odd that this video is accompanied by comments about a small building being hit. It’s pretty obvious from the video that a multi-story (= NOT small) building was hit. Now there are other reports of a small building being hit – maybe even by an S-125 – but nothing that connects it to whatever we see in this video. Surely, the guy filming it realizes it hit a big building – did he claim it was small, or was that detail simply added later by someone else to fit what they already heard? In any case, how could either watch the video and still say something about a ‘small’ building? Why say anything about the building size, anyway?
The ground blast seems (to me) to be considerably larger than that of the 5V27’s 60 kg frag warhead maybe a kilometer back on the flight path. The missile’s engine is several seconds into its burn – there shouldn’t be thousands of kg of unburned rocket fuel left. Nothing to back this up of course, but it doesn’t seem like just the impact of a rocket motor + fuel. It seems energetic enough (flash and retort) to have been a warhead, but maybe that’s just me.
By far, the most obvious problem I have taking this this video at face value is that I only hear one explosion when there should be two distinct ones. There’s easily a half-second between the air explosion flash and the ground one. Yet I only hear one reverberating explosion followed by a fraction of a second where the audio cuts out. I know we’re just listening to some crappy smart-phone audio, but still… a 60 kg. warhead should make a loud damn bang from that distance. I don;t know – maybe if it was travelling almost mach 3, it just outran the first bang. Seems iffy.
Now unless the person taping this actually saw the launch from a known SA-3 launch site and watched the entire flight, how could they possibly know it was a missile from a S-125? The Syrian missile crews are not going to broadcast the fact that one (or three) of their SAMs malfunctioned. In fact, I’ve never heard of this particular malfunction on a S-125 – has anyone else? Strange that this comes up after some rather spectacular footage of the Saudi boomerang Patriots a few months back.
I have to assume the upgraded Syrian 5V27DEs have both a command self-destruct and a lost target self-destruct. These are supposedly jamming/EW resistant, too. If you’re a missile crew firing SAMs directly over populated areas, wouldn’t you err on the side of caution and hit the self-destruct as soon as your SAM lost its target and started plunging into the city? A half-second before impact seems… well, a bit reckless. These are not ‘launch and pray’ missiles.
Now I don’t think the video is a malfunctioning S-125, but I can’t say what it is, either. My first guess would be some kind of Israeli cruise or ballistic missile, and the air blast was from a Syrian SAM trying to hit it. The frag effects in the detonation seem like those of a Pantsir’s continuous-rod ‘ring’. It either missed, or didn’t damage the warhead enough to prevent its subsequent detonation on impact.
All speculation of course, but the timing of the unheard-of boomerang S-125 ‘problem’ seems suspicious to me based on this video.
So a lot of confused info on this is out there. Here’s what my sources in Lebanon and Syria say about israel’s Christmas terrorist gift to Syria, verbatim:
Dec 26, 2018
The Israeli air offensive on Tuesday night, Dec. 25, was conducted by IAF F-16 fighter jets firing Delilah cruise missiles from Lebanese air space into Syria.
Damascus countered the attack with Russian Pantsir-S2 and S-200 SAM air defense weapons.
The Israeli attack was aimed at Syrian military sites – not Iranian and Hizballah targets as earlier reported in Israel and Damascus.
The Israeli government and military chiefs had apparently decided to take advantage of the chaos generated by President Donald Trump’s decision to pull US troops out of Syria and Ankara’s threat of a Turkish army thrust across the Euphrates.
After the F-16 jets failed to connect to their targets, the IA sent the F-35 stealth planes over in a second wave.
Early Wednesday, the Syrian army released a video claiming to depict the interception of one of many Israeli missiles hit by its air defense systems.
A blackout covers the circumstances of the massive explosion that rocked Israeli towns, including Hadera, Caesarea and Zichron Yaacov while the attack over Syria was in progress. Syria did indeed fire a missile into Israel in retaliation. The IAspokesman would only say “The air defense system was activated against a missile launched from Syria, No damage or casualties.”
This laconic statement indicates that interception did not take place and the Syrian missile may have landed somewhere in Israel. Social media carry photos of its fragments. Witnesses attest to the activation of an Israeli air defense battery located at Ain Shemer.
This was the second time in six months that an IA air defense battery failed to down a Syrian missile. On July 23, a David’s Sling anti-air battery missed two Syrian SS-21 surface missiles that were heading for the Sea of Galilee.
The targets of the Israeli attack were located at the military section of Damascus airport, where an Iranian transport plane – some say three – had landed, and two other locations: Dimas, headquarters of the Syrian army’s 4th Division, Qatana, site of its 10th Division, and the command center of Syrian artillery forces further south at Khan al-Sheikh.
One of the Israeli missiles was aimed at a high-profile Hizballah delegation which had landed in Damascus from Beirut at 16:00 local time ready to board an Iranian flight bound for Tehran. They were on their way to the funeral of Ayatollah Hashemi Alshaharoudi. Only one member of the delegation was hurt.
Unfortunately SYAAD does NOT have S-300 operational in Damascus yet. 48 isisrael missiles intercepted and only 7 made it through syrian missile shield. largest attack since May 2018.
Time to bring in the Krasutkahs and jam any isisrael plane that enters Lebanese/Golan airspace. Effective range 400km against radar, communications, satellites, GPS.
There were ramifications for the downing of the Russian aircraft. There will be ramifications for this caper. The isreali regime is losing the good will it once enjoyed.
The Golan Heights would be a great place for those aforementioned systems. If only eh?
Still waiting for a news report on how it unfolded and the final tally of hits, and misses,
Real Arab skills here.

Those are Israeli missiles, Syria is trying to cover up a failure using another failure hahaha
your head is empty my dear….
So israeli missiles is attacking civilian targets and uses airburst in a populated area?
Probably true – typical White Patriotic Cowardly American style. This White American faggot is the B1tch of Israel
a 911 telemarketer/propagandist? the desperation is palpable you are almost like zombiezombies. already dead but still moving! Lets all put this monster out of its misery….BDS !!
