The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have captured the village of Abu Khatir and advanced inside the village of Hawi al-Kashmah in eastern Syria. Clashes have been also reported in the village of Abu Hassan.

If I was a SAA general, I’d deploy the newly-compliant kurds to every hotspot in my front line as cannon fodder. So they can moan about being persecuted again.
who would imply the Kurds complain too much? i wish they had one party, one voice, one spokesperson – alas, no. i hope they keep the kirkuk area of iraq, and turkey should pay them (kurds) for their (turkey) racist actions v kurds. not making an exception for the ‘terrorist’ arm of the kurds v turkey either.
I think it’s time the kurds recognise that Assad is their best hope of protection and start to behave like loyal citizens of Syria, even if they maintain their own ethnic identity.

The Kurdistan Kurds are quite different from those here. Strange You dont see that at all. You have about 30 million Kurds and many years before that even back to Saddam.
You don’t understand the Kurds I’m afraid to say. The Kurds will be demanding to be sent to every hotspot in the new confrontation with Erdogan, not asking to be left at the rear lines, they would probably even turn against Assad if he didn’t let them take the vanguard role.
You know nothing.
1) Would any Kurds and SDFs fight for Assads. I doubt it
‘2) Especially the YPG+J dont fit into anything like the Assad Syrian Russian ekephant &
3) If things changes to war against Turks, they will fight with enthusiame against them and at once demand RPGs amd small artillet for it.
The ones which should be shor or removed long time ago are the Baathistas so far have med so many dead, millions not at hove, many 100.000 handicaps and total destructions of vital infrastruckture.
No reforms to any devellopment for dekades – even oil and gas industry as ineffective museum …
Those are the ones, which should be in the front.
