On December 8, warplanes of the Saudi-led coalition carried out a series of airstrikes on the al-Rabsa roundabout in the center of the Houthi-held city of al-Hudaydah on the western coast of Yemen. The al-Masirah TV said that the coalition’s airstrikes killed six civilians and injured twelve others.

“Most of the victims of the criminal airstrikes on the al-Rabsa roundabout were children,” said al-Masirah correspondent in al-Hudaydah. “Some of the bodies were shattered into pieces.”

Last August, more than 150 civilians were killed and injured when Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted several airstrikes on the al-Thawrah hospital gate and a small fishing port in al-Hudaydah. Back then, the coalition blamed the Houthis for the deadly attack without providing any evidence.

The new massacre comes amid the ongoing peace talks in Sweden between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government. According to pro-Houthi sources, the government is still insisting that it should impose its control of al-Hudaydah. A demand that will not likely be accepted by the Yemeni group.

Forget about negotiations with the Al Sauds. The only way to make the KSA come to terms, is to pile the streets of Al- Hudayah with their dead. History has made it abundantly clear….Vietnam, Afghanistan, etc. Currently, their committed forces consists of mercenaries, proxies and allies, not the actual Saudi born and raised. But once that starts happening, then things will get interesting for the rulers. I’m also beginning to think the current KSA military doctrine for the KSA/ Yemeni border is ‘run away at the first shot.’
