Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says that the US failed to comply with its responsibilities in the framework of the Turkish-US deal on the Syrian city of Manbij, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on September 28.
“The United States certainly did not comply with the agreed calendar of the Manbij roadmap; YPG did not exit the area. The real owners of the region are not settled in yet,” Erdogan told media following his recent visit to New York to attend the UN General Assembly, according to the newspapaer. “The United States did not keep their promise here.”
According to Erdogan, despite the formal declarations, the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG; considered a terrorist group by Ankara) remained in the area.
The Turkish president also pointed out that the US has boosted its military presence alongside with the “terrorist organization” in northern Syria.
As to a possible Turkish military operation against the YPG east of the Euphrates River, Erdogan stated that the operation is now not on the agenda. However, he noted that this does not mean that there will be no military operation in the future.
The US never agreed to the deal. It has always been what Turkey wanted and Trump ignored.
”U.S. and Turkey Agree on Kurds’ Withdrawal From Syrian Town
Neither side released details of the plan, but Turkish and American officials confirmed that it called for the withdrawal of Kurdish forces from the city. ”

What is your source ?
Donald Trump and his response to Mr. Kurd.
Thats breaking an agreement , not ‘never agreeing to the deal”
The last time I checked a road map isn’t a deal or an agreement. It is a set of conditions that can lead to one. Of course Turkey never did anything to meet them just as they are failing to meet the actual deal in Idlib where they are required to destroy HTS before October 15th.
”U.S. and Turkey Agree on Kurds Withdrawal From Syrian Town’ is rather a definite statement than a road plan , so you may want to check again.
HTS in Idlib is related with Sochi agreement which US has nothing to do with it . And although there is more than 2 week to deadline , some serious news sources like Reuters already confirming that HTS is preparing to withdraw from the security zone as agreed in Sochi.
The main problem here is the missing coordination between US Presidency , Pentagon and other US institutions and that leads to lack of credibility.
Maybe you should read what it actually says, Mike Pompeo and Turkey’s foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, “endorsed a road map”
HTS in Idlib is related to the Astana accords which the US doesn’t have anything to do with. The deadline is October 15th, firm and definitive. Turkey has two weeks to clear HTS yet they haven’t moved a muscle. HTS does not agree to the Astana plan and is not moving.
The main problem for Turkey is Trump hates them and he is planning to create a Kurdish state.
TURKEY = REAL ISIS (800 years of DEVSIRME)
No surprise……When did the US ever uphold an agreement, treaty or keep an promise.
Erdoggie got snookered and its just the beginning!!!! The bovine feces called trump says US should help those who died in the tens of thousands fighting terrorists hold onto lands they grabbed..
