On July 10, militant groups in southern Syria continued to hand over weapons and military equipment to government forces in the framework of a reconciliation agreement reached between the government and militants in the eastern countryside of Daraa city.

According to the state-media, militants in the town of Bosra al-Cham handed over two battle tanks, an artillery gun and a few anti-tank guided missiles. This process will continue untill all of the heavy and medium weapons are surrendered to government troops.

Earlier, militants already handed over dozens of anti-tank guided missiles and a notable number of armoured vehicles to the army. MORE HERE

Meanwhile, three aid convoys reportedly entered the Daraa countryside to deliver aid to settlements recently liberated by government forces, the Syrian state-run news agency SANA says.

“SANA’s reporter in Daraa said that a six-truck convoy was sent to the villages and towns of Zaizoun, Tal Shihab, and Kharab al-Shahem to the southwest of Daraa city. The convoy contained 15,000 liters of fuel and 1,100 gas cylinders and 20 tons of flour.

The second convoy was sent by the Governorate to Dael city, containing 4,200 food basket and an amount of flour.

Later, a third convoy containing 40 tons of flour and 10,000 liters of fuel was sent to Bosra al-Cham city in the province’s eastern countryside,” a SANA report stated.

All these developments come while the Syrian Army and its allies are appraoching the militant-held part of Daraa city from the southern direction. The militant-held area is already fully encircled by government forces. The only question is when militants would be eliminated or forced to surrender.
