According to the statement, on June 13 the YPG destroyed a vehicle of Fiirqat al-Hamzah on a road between the villages of Qimara and Barada. 3 militants were allegedly killed on the scene.

On the same day, the YPG reportedly attacked two vehicles belonging to Turkey-led forces in the village of Khaltah. 12 members of Turkey-led forces, including a Turkish soldier, were reportedly killed.

The YPG statement claimed that 2,479 Turkish-backed militants and Turkish soldiers have been killed since the start of the Turkish operation in Afrin.

According to the Turkish side, over 4,500 members of the YPG, which is described by Ankara as a local branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), were neutralized [killed, wounded or captured] during the same period.
