Taliban Expands Operation In Ghazni Province, Enters Another District

The Taliban has continued developing its military operation against government forces in the province of Ghazni in eastern Afghanistan.

Late on May 21, Taliban units entered the districts of Jaghatu and Deh Yak killing some 16 pro-government fifghters in the following clashes, including the Deh Yak district police chief Faizullah.

By May 22, reports have appeared that Deh Yak is now in the hands of the Taliban. However, this still has to be confirmed. On the other hand, pro-government sources claimed that the Taliban attack had been repelled. The situation remains unclear.

Meanwhile, at least 16 people were killed and more than 30 wounded in the city of Kabul when explosives placed inside two containers blew up as security forces were trying to defuse them. According to reports, the death and wounded including both civilians and security forces servicemembers.

It is funny to watch how US own creation (Taliban) is actively participating in overstretching US forces now. That is if one doesn’t realize that US is an instrument (in many ways) itself.
