On January 2, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Tiger Forces captured the villages of Ziyarah, Tell Aloush and Khirbet al-Wakad in the southwestern Aleppo countryside, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
Syrian pro-government sources said that Russian warplanes supported the SAA offensive and targeted several positions, vehicles and ammo depots of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and its allies in the southeastern and southern Idlib countryside.
From its side, Syrian pro-opposition sources reported that the Ahrar al-Sham Movement deployed several well-armed units around the city of Saraqib in the southeastern Idlib countryside to counter the SAA offensive.
Meanwhile, dozens of civilians took at the street in the town of Binnish in the eastern Idlib countryside to protest against the corruption and incompetence of HTS and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) commanders, according to local sources. The protestors also stressed their support for Saraqib.
While many sources claim that Saraqib is the expected target of the SAA ongoing military operation in southern Idlib, some Syrian pro-government activists argue that the SAA and the Tiger Forces will focus on eliminating ISIS in the northeastern Hama countryside in the upcoming days in order to secure the SAA rear before launching an advance towards Saraqib.
Bravo SAA,run the Zionist terrorists out of your country, the whole right minded world is behind you,and will always support your valiant efforts ,as your fight is our fight against the same satanic, banksters Talmudic tribe.
Sorry, who is Saraqib ?.
Town about 10 km west from SAA front line .
Thank you – I just realised that and slapped my head on a new article published. Apologies for my ignorance.
It’s 8 km now , the town held protests for the gunmen to leave and withdraw , they started tearing down their signs. Guess they can’t tell if they support them or not.
Very good for SAA, I hope SAA continue fast, strong, bravery, and without mercy with these terrorists, and I also hope Russia aerospace force continue given even more support and protection to ground troops.
Just not sure where they get the idea of pro supporters are the ones running the SAA , this is really bad optics in journalism as many supporters believed that Idlib offensive was still a go. Don’t rely on the fact the Tiger Forces are being moved the offensive ends , look at Deir ez zoir they went to help in one pocket and the front was still advancing. The other elite Assault units are still in the region and they have already advanced.
