The US-led coalition requested Russia for a help to clear the Homs desert and parts of Euphrates Valley from ISIS, but Russia refused to assist the US-backed force, the Syrian pro-opposition news outlet Hammurabi’s Justice News reported on January 4.

According to the report, the US-led coalition shared coordinates of several ISIS positions in the Homs desert and the Euphrates Valley with Russia. ISIS allegedly attacked the US-led coalition base in the al-Tanaf area near the Syrian-Iraqi border from these positions.

However, Russia didn’t only refuse to attack ISIS positions, but also refused to allow the US to bomb them because they were besieged by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), according to Hammurabi’s Justice News. The news outlet went on, and criticized Russia for “no being serious about fighting ISIS”.

An officer of the US-led coalition told Hammurabi’s Justice News that the Russian response to their request is “unfortunate”.

“From the first day of coalition efforts to defeat Daesh [ISIS] inside Syria, we understood that it will be a long commitment. And we are committed as long as Syrians and the Middle East need to be protected from terrorism threats, even if we are facing difficulties like serious threats that come from the regime-held areas against our forces in the 55 zone. The Russian reaction to our requests is unfortunate,” the US-led coalition officer told Hammurabi’s Justice News.

The US-led coalition and several groups of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) launched a military against several positions of ISIS in the Homs desert around al-Tanaf base on December 23. The operation confirmed that ISIS actually attacked the al-Tanaf base from pockets still under its control right near the base and not from the SAA-held area as the US-led coalition had claimed.

Moreover, the US-led collation didn’t support the SAA or Russia in any battle against ISIS. In fact, US-led coalition warplanes watched ISIS entering the ancient city of Palmyra on May, 2015, and did nothing at all. Later on September 2017, ISIS fighters captured the city of al-Qaryatayn in the southern Homs countryside after passing through the area controlled by US-backed FSA groups.

Hammurabi’s Justice News report is yet to be confirmed by the US-led coalition. However, it’s possible that Russia and the SAA are not hurrying up to launch an operation against ISIS in the Homs desert. The SAA is currently conducting a large-scale attack against the al-Qaeda-affaileated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Idlib governorate. An operation against ISIS in the Homs desert might be launched this spring when the weather improves in central Syria, according to Syrian pro-government activists.

Well done Russia ! The coalition has no right to be on the syrian soil !

russ

We most certainly do… We created, funded and supported ISIS so we should be able to retrieve and recycle them.

Jim Martin

nor do the Russians, Iranians or the Syrian Regime after they started the homicidal repression of their own people since 2011 and triggered R2P (right to protect) in the UN like a fire alarm every year since then as the UN sits in their hands and blindly ignores our collective responsibilities . Shame on us

The SDF/YPG/YPJ is the most credible force on the ground to represent the Syrian people and are thankfully supported by both the Russians and Americans

Feudalism Victory

Theres no such thing as r2p. Its a fictitious cover for imperliastic actions.

Jim Martin

good story as you starve and gas your own people

as

And Holocaust done in Auschwitz inside a proper ‘gas chamber’.
Also the 911 are bought down by fire.
And Iraq must have those WMD somewhere still cleverly hidden.

MikeH

Jim, where do you stand on Russia’s R2P their people with respect to Ukraine and the Baltics?

Jim Martin

More Zero responsibility. Good move, going nowhere but more blood, sweat and tears

Syria would have had no reason to “bomb it’s own people” if certain bad actor states around it wouldn’t have started arming, funding, and training mercenary forces to cowardly fight amongst the populations. The real perps are not those who try to heroically preserve their country’s sovereignty, but those who seek to overthrow other nations through subversion. The US and its “allies” running to the UN to intervene in Syria is about as sincere and credible as me committing arson on a disliked (for no particular reason) neighbour and then declaring that I will put out the fires on my terms. Just dirty.

Jim Martin

The only uprising 2011 was sparked by homicidal Syrian regime repression. You have it all backwards. Always blame an external boggy man like the Mugabe’s and Assad’s of the world do. “Not too heroic”murdering, starving and gassing one’s own people

igybundy

And now we have the syrian demonic forces of mostly communists and liver eaters.

gustavo

You are watching too much CNN. Clean your brain.

Feudalism Victory

Actually no the intial protests were hijacked by external infiltrators who fired on syrian forces to provoke a response. Its a type of warfare designed for avoiding large traditional military clashes a low cost way to degrade an enemys ability to resist
Was used in ukraine and just recently again in Iran. Its not a spontaneous response to repression. Its a calculated attack.

Kurds are mostly refugees from Turkey accepted by Syria. How can they represent Syrian people?

R2P was created from the propaganda lie that the West “did nothing” to stop Hutus from killing Tutsis in Rwanda, when in fact most of the killing was done by the Tutsis of Paul Kagame’s Rwanda Patriotic Front (RFP). Kagame was trained in the US and became a leader of RFP, an army of Rwandan expatriots living in Uganda that invaded Rwanda to overthrow the democratic government there, bring themselves to power and restore the privileges of the Tutsi minority. This has been exposed for years in Enduring Lies: The Rwandan Genocide in the Propaganda System, 20 Years Later: https://www.amazon.com/Enduring-Lies-Rwandan-Genocide-Propaganda/dp/1500751111

If you don’t want to bother with the book, read Herman’s and Peterson’s short article at Voltairenet: https://www.voltairenet.org/article167972.html. It’s pretty well established that Kagame runs a ruthless dictatorship in Rwanda and is behind many of the massacres in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Probably because the us-coalition has got the tendency to bomb Syrian troops instead of isis.

Richard M

“Accidentally”, of course! :D

The only worse thing than being the Empire’s enemy is being their ally. Just ask Saddam Hussein or Manuel Noriega.

I wonder what would have happened if USAF had bombed Al Qaryatayn, 200 kms from any line the US has ever been active.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The US is useless as a tits farthing in this buffoonery they call their “War on Terror” they are the Fucking Terrorists so they may as well attack themselves. They only tried to make an attempt to draw in the SAA and Allies to play footsies with the US coalition and terrorist chums. The SAA is right in it’s current actions as they need to focus on one front of terrorists than be distracted by bogus claims by the Coalition and their proxy terrorist groups.

FlorianGeyer

The US would have missed ISIS and the other US terrorists and hit the SAA in error of course.

dutchnational

So then everybody is happy that USAF did NOT bomb Qaryatayn. A consensus at least.

FlorianGeyer

In WW2 the allies of the US were also fearful of any US aircraft :)

Sadde

they misspelled zoo, it should read “in the 55 km ZOO”

“And we are committed as long as Syrians and the Middle East need to be protected from terrorism threats”
They are the bloody terrorists.

russ

Syria and the Middle East need to be protected from USIS… and Russia has and boy are we bitter

leon mc pilibin

Never ever trust these satanic Zionists. They are in Syria illegally, but they behave like they have a divine right to do as they please. They won’t have a happy stay,it will end with another glorious defeat, and Hollywood blockbusters to keep the sheeple brainwashed,

russ

In our Pavlovian school systems, we pooches have been brainwashed from the minute we could walk and talk.

Carol Davidek-Waller

The U.S. was in Syria for years (illegally) claiming to be fighting ISIS but in reality bombing holes in the desert and watching (or worse) ISIS take over most of the country and steal Syria’s oil in broad daylight.
A year and a half after Russia and friends enter the fray at the request of the Syrian government, Syria has all of its major cities and most of its land back.
Who isn’t serious about fighting terrorists?

Langaniso Mhlobo

USA statement :We are comited as long ad Syria and Middle East totally destroy and control by our terrorist SDF=ISIS.

Heard IRGC is preparing to attack the last pocket in Deir Ezzor along with other SAA forces , but the IRGC will be the main force

Silly to help them fight ISIS and expand their area . It should be the other way round, ISIS weaken FSA then SAA finish off FSA

John Mason

Southfront should put a notation at the bottom “Suspect Fake News”. The US is the one who refuses to cooperate with Russia, that is a known fact.

Melotte 22

Well US is the one working with moderate terrorists not Russia.

CIA has been messing in Syria since 1947, helping the 1949 coup: http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIA_activities_in_Syria
Remember WIKI is a tool of the 1%.

“Democracy”, US/UK/ZIO/RothschildBankster Empire style needs to be propped up by the barrel of a gun, or a whip, apparently.

Yet US whines like a pack of bitches: “Russia stole Killary’s election.”
No evidence whatever, of course.

How does one deal with an insane Empire?
Watch it tear itself to pieces?
And hope it doesn’t tear the world apart?

Floyd Hazzard

Didn’t they use the pretext of attacking ISIS to butcher Syrian Troops on a few ocassions? Aren’t they occupying Syrian land illegally and arming and guiding Kurdish and Extremist Sunni insurrection? Aren’t they trying to destroy Russia, Syria and Iran from all avenues and angles? And they expect assistance to accomplish all of that? They are truly shameless.
