This map provides a general look at the military situation in the area of the town of Abu al-Duhur and the nearby airbase. The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies are steadily setting a foothold for a large-scale opeartion to re-take this strategic area from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda). Recently, the SAA has made a series of advances in northeastern Hama and reached the village of Zahra and the nearby hill.
