On November 30, the Tiger Forces redeployed most of their units from the province of Deir Ezzor to the northern Hama countryside and the southwestern Aleppo countryside to boost the ongoing military operation of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) towards the Abu al-Duhur Airbase.
According to pro-government sources, the Tiger Forces’ first mission is to recapture the strategic village of Abu Dali in the northern Hama countryside from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda). The deployment of such well-armed, experienced force will for sure speed up the SAA operations in the region between Hama and Aleppo.
Meanwhile, the HTS-linked news agency Iba’a reported that Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters recaptured the villages of Ramlah and Abisan southwest of the town of Khanasir in southern Aleppo. HTS fighters captured two Syrian soldiers and a battle tank of the SAA during the clashes in the two villages, according to Iba’a.

Iba’a also reported that HTS fighters ambushed a sleeper cell of ISIS that was on its way from Idlib governorate to ISIS pocket in the northeastern Hama countryside. Iba’a said that 15 members of ISIS were killed and one other was captured in the ambush.

This accident proves that ISIS sleeper cells in HTS-held areas played a key role in moving ISIS fighters to the ISIS-held pocket in the northeastern Hama countryside, and not the SAA as some Syrian opposition sources claimed before.
