On Friday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) captured the strategic al-Shakousiyah village in the northeastern Hama countryside from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
From its side, the HTS-linked news agency Iba’a announced that HTS fighters destroyed a vehicle, and damaged a tank of the SAA with ATGMs near Umm Khazim Hill in the northeastern Hama countryside.
The US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) group Central Division, that’s allied to HTS also attacked the SAA and destroyed a tank of it with a TOW ATGM around al-Shakousiyah village.

In the southwestern Aleppo countryside, HTS announced that it recaptured al-Rashidiya village and its hill. So, HTS recaptured most of the villages it lost near Mount al-Hass on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Syrian opposition sources reported that Russian warplanes conducted over 16 airstrike against HTS positions in Abu al-Duhur Airbase in the southwestern Aleppo countryside.
The Russian airstrikes indicate that Abu al-Duhur Airbase may be the main aim of the ongoing SAA military operations in the southwestern Aleppo countryside and northeastern Hama countryside.
This is the little green blob on many of your maps isn’t it ?. If so about bloody time, if it is the big green blob, get rid of the little one first.
at least one of the ATGMs was wasted throwing up dirt instead of hitting the tank lol
I don’t know why the Syrian government forces are not using swarms of drones to patrol the areas they’re advancing on to locate any tow missile launching posts and destroy them before they can do any damage to the troops and their equipment. Choppers should also be flying overhead in front of the advancing forces to clear any potential threat. Al-Rashidiya village is of strategic importance and needs to be secured for good by the Syrian government forces. All liberated areas need to be constantly patrolled by cheap drones to identify any approaching terror units abd destroy them with air power before they can strike.
wise idea if only you could spare enough ppl to handle the load whilst protecting them from body-snatcher’s, amongst everything else they haffta deal with normally including Israel at Golan and other moderate beheaders in and around Daraa and areas connected to Jordan and the other US backed forces of ISIS in the N.East.
it’s fluid battlefield that peppers, blots, and smears different parts of the country, sadly.
these mofos will all be dead soon, just a matter of time before SAA/russia really go in here
