On October 9, ISIS broke through Syrian Army positions in eastern Hama and entered an area controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the northern Hama countryside. The one terrorist group attacked another and seized a number of villages in the area.
