On Saturday, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) repelled an ISIS attack in al-Kurd district in the center of Raqqa city, according to Kurdish sources.

SDF fighters reportedly killed 17 ISIS fighters and destroyed a booby trapped motorcycle during the attack. Moreover, the SDF sized a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

Meanwhile, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that ISIS members killed 4 SDF fighters with an ATGM near the grain silos area in the northern part of Raqqa city. This attack proves that most of the northern part of the city is still under ISIS control.

The SDF announced that its fighters evacuated 35 civilians from ISIS-held districts in the center of Raqqa. Syrian opposition sources claimed that one civilian was killed in a US-led collation airstrike. The sources also claimed that US-led collation warplanes conducted over 70 airstrikes on the city in the last 48 hours.

The redeployment of some SDF units from Raqqa city to Deir Ezzor governorate slowed down the SDF operation in Raqqa. The redeployment of these units also showed that the US main goal now is to capture as much areas – epically oil fields – in Deir Ezzor from ISIS.

Amaq relesed photos showing clashes in Raqqa:

Weird reasoning by SF.

IS claiming to be able to attack SDF near the silo’s proves, acc to SF, IS in “in control ” of that neighbourhood.

It only proves that both have forces in the neighbourhood with SDF being in defense. That implies more logically SDF being more “in control” then IS.

SF should be a little bit more “in control” of precise janguage.

Fronzie

be calm…”isis firs” and next…ISIS

Does the SDF, with American backing, plan to possess all territory in Syria, north of the Euphrates?
