On Saturday, the Yemeni naval forces, allied with the Houthis, announced that a warship of the Saudi Alliance was targeted inside Al-Mukha port in Aden city on the western coast of Yemen.

Yemeni sources claimed that the ship was targeted with an anti-ship guided missile. However, the Houthi media wing has not yet published any video to confirm these claims.

From its side, a military source from the Saudi Alliance said that the Saudi Alliance Forces destroyed a remotely controlled boat-borne improvised explosive device (RC BBIED) of the Houthis was attempting to target Al-Mukha port. The attack took place at 3 am on Saturday when the boat attempted to target warships anchored inside Al-Mukha port.

The Houthis claim that they have targeted 12 warships and 10 patrol boats of the Saudi Alliance so far. It was noted that the Houthis have recently stopped using anti-ship guided missiles and began using RC BBIED and naval mines. The Houthis had already succeeded to target a Saudi frigate with a RC BBIED on January 30, 2017. The attack destroyed a helicopter was onboard the frigate and caused great damage to the frigate itself.
