From its side, opposition sources claimed that the SAA also breached the de-escalation agreement when the SAA artillery allegedly shelled the villages of Tirma’la, Ghranata, Al-Ghantu Al-Farhaniya, and Hawla area at the  same time.

Russian forces were deployed along with the Syrian military police forces in several areas in the northern Homs countryside to monitor the de-escalation zone, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The northern Homs countryside is currently calm after the exchange of fire. The both sides appear to be committed to the agreement, although no militant group in northern Homs countryside has declared its support for the de-escalation agreement so far .

Earlier this week, the sides agreed to establish the  de-escalation zone in the northern Homs countryside as a result of negotiations in Egypt.

Ahmed al-Jarba, head of the Saudi-backed Syria’s Tomorrow Movement said that the United States welcomed the de-escalation agreement in the northern Homs countryside, adding that these agreements were not aimed against any country and that its aim was is only to protect the Syrian people.

“The shortest way to solve the Syrian crisis and the most effective is to communicate with the Russian side,” Al-Jarba said.

Al-Jarba’s participation in the Cairo negotiations confirms that Saudi Arabia was pushed to made some joint steps with Russia in Syria.

The terrorists are always the guilty party because they are the one at war with the SAA and Syria, the insurgents are terrorists who have no rights, they forfeited all rights when they became terrorists. SAA need to wipe them out, no mercy shown.

Oh, and their families, children? Does one make a difference between a fighter for say IS and fi one who drove a truck for them?

And who are terrorists? What is your definition? They oppose Assad?

John Mason

All that appose Syria with weapons and terror. They all made a choice just as you have with your insolent and sophomoric comment. You shouldn’t hold yourself a hostage to current propaganda.

It was a real question to a real problem. What to do with terrorists, or symphatizers once IS has been defeated and many will be arrested.

SDF has let go of dozens of people working as ermployees for IS in IS captured areas when they were vouched for by local tribes, notables, as being not part of IS fighters and having committed no crimes.

SAA has the same program?

John Mason

Sorry but I missunderstood your comment. In regards to terrorists who are mercenaries, they should be executed on the spot. As for their families, if Syrian, then clemency but foreigners are either deported or put in prison. One can not show mercy because it shows weakness and the terrorists plus their sponsors will continue. Terrorist sponsors unless it is the US which are untouchable should be facing the Hague Tribunal for War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.
During the Rhodesian Civil War, all mercenaries caught were executed. That is a fact, so the same rules should apply now.
For those tribes then the leaders should be prosecuted for harbouring and abetting the enemy. Nothing stopping them in joining the SAA and fighting for their country.

SAA has allowed militants to switch sides!
SAA has arranged cease fires!
SAA has arranged treat deals in which to transport HTS terrorists (who deserve to die) and their whole families to be transported safely to idlib!

Again u talk shit!

Every religious Sunni qualifies as terrorist, whether woman or man. Their branch of Islam is as vicious as NAZI or Bolshevism. As Dutch national you should know better than that.

Terrorists are head choppers who proudly put their works on YouTube. There is no shortage of that in Syria.

The US and SDF doesn’t distinguish between who is a civilian or not so why should the SAA be any different than anyone else. We already know the answer to that because they are not really like those others.

Turkey claims the Kurds are terrorists! Who is to decide if the Kurds are Terrorists or not? YOU? The USA? Western Media?
AAS are terrorists!!!!!!!
The fathers of the children u speak about are TERRORISTS!!!!
ISIS members have children too, even wives YET THEY ARE STILL TERRORISTS!
Sometimes EVEN THE FUCKING CHILDREN ARE TERRORISTS because they are FORCED to fight!
Your response has ZERO credibility!

Russian de-escalation zones are turning into terrorist protectorates.
