Fighters of the Syrian Army and other pro-government units have taken control of the Bir Badieah area located south of Talila Reserve near the ancient city of Palmyra.
The liberation of Bir Badieah is a part of wider government forces effort aimed at liberation of the T3 airbase from ISIS terrorists.
The T3 airbase is located northeast of Bir Badieah and south of the Arak town and the nearby Arak field where clashes between government forces and ISIS terrorists are still ongoing.
Earlier today, reports appeared that the Syrian army and its allies took control over the whole Arak area. However, these reports overestimated the government forces gains.
