The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have captured the village of Khilo north of the Kairwan town and the village of Tal Qassab east of Kairwan. PMU fighters have also besieged ISIS militants in the Tal Bashouk village north of Kairwan.

23 ISIS militants, including 5 suicide bombers and 2 snipers were reportedly killed in the clashes. PMU also destroyed 5 VBIED, and managed to down an ISIS drone. Moreover The Iraqi air force warplanes destroyed a headquarters of ISIS in Tal al-Banat north of Kairwan. In Mosul, the Iraqi Army has continued operations against ISIS in the districts of Tamoz 17, Rifa’i and Ureibi in western Mosul. So far it has managed to liberate 30% of Ureibi district as well as to captured capture an ISIS militant and a VBIED.
Iraqi forces have also continued a slow advance in the Hawi al-Kanisah area in northwestern Mosul and in the strategic Old Mosul area. In the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, a car bomb attack killed and wounded six civilians in Karrada district. Yesterday, the Iraqi Police killed a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt in northern Baghdad as he tried to blow himself up in a tribal PMU gathering.
