This map shows the military situation in the province of Homs including the area of the ancient city of Palmyra on March 14, 2017.
On March 13, Syrian government forces expanded a buffer zone around Palmyra, retaking a number of sites from the ISIS terrorist group.
The SAA should advance on the Al-Salamiyah-Palmyra highway to protect Palmyra and the oil/gas fields, along with the Al-Busari crossroads, protecting multuple mountains/hilltops and Al-Qaryatayn. There will be more protection, and more supply routes will be opened for the Deir-ez-Zor offense.
Problem: they have the manpower to do this? One month ago they had’t the manpower to defend Palmyra…
They had manpower, but they relied to much to tiger forces for everything, left incompetent ndf alone to defended the base they doomed, using them to attack enemy position they doomed too, so better patient on this one, let the time tell what to do next
THATS RIGHT YOU MOTHAS!!!! RUN!!!!!
