AlMasdarNews reports: The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside a Hezbollah battalion, carried out a special operation in the Damascus countryside on Sunday, targeting a large tunnel that belonged to the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) near Madaya.

This special operation began on early Sunday morning, when a joint unit of Hezbollah and SAA soldiers dug under a tunnel belonging to the jihadist rebels that stretched from the besieged town of Madaya to the Baqeen Farms.

Once the explosives were planted, the Syrian Armed Forces detonated the bombs, killing a large number of jihadist rebels that were inside the tunnel before the explosion.

Video footage of this special operation carried out by the Syrian Armed Forces was captured by Hezbollah’s media wing on Sunday morning; this footage would also show the destruction of the tunnel.

In addition to their tunnel attack, the Syrian Armed Forces also carried out an ambush against a group of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham fighters that were attempting to travel to Baqeen Farms on Sunday.
