The Syrian government has been pushed to deploy fresh reinforcements in old Aleppo and northeastern Aleppo city amid heavy clashes in this area. Local sources estimate that 400-600 fighters arrived there.

On September 30, the Syrian army and Hezbollah launched an advance in the militant-controlled neighborhoods of Bustan al Basha and Suleiman al-Halabi. By now, the loyalists have reportedly siezed few strategic locations (the City Garage and the electrical facility) in the western part of Suleiman al-Halabi and reportedly taken control of the Haritani building and the Bustan Al-Basha Tower in the Bustan al Basha neighborhood.

According to photo and video evidence, the Syrian government forces are located near the “Institute for Youth Sports” in the Bostan al-Pasha Neighborhood.

In turn, Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and its allies launched a counter-attack on the Kindi Hospital located near the Handarat refugee camp in northern Aleppo. The terrorists reportedly entered the hopsital and engaged the pro-government forces in intense firefight. Now, the area remains contested.
