Syrian Army Takes Control of Ramouseh Neighborhood, Reopens Supply Road to Western Aleppo

On September 8, the Syrian army and Hezbollah regained control of the strategic Ramouseh Neighborhood of Aleppo city from Jaish al-Fatah militants. This move with the recent victory in the Ramouseh Garages allows the pro-government forces to reopen their supply line to the government-controlled areas of Aleppo city (western Aleppo).

The recent developments in and near Aleppo city clearly depict that the militants’ defenses are collapsing in southwestern Aleppo after Jaish al-Fatah has lost significant numbers of manpower and military equipment in the failed attempt to open a wide corridor to eastern Aleppo.

That effort to cut open a supply corridor cost the insurgents a lot, just like Hitlers last adventure in the Ardennes 1944. In a way it is good, so that the collapse will come sooner and regular people can get food and medical care again. The time has come for the Syrian govt forces to exploit this shift of initiative. I hope they go hard from now.
