Russia has suspected the US in conducting biological and toxicological studies for military purposes. The US gave a reason for the suspicion, refusing to create a unified mechanism of monitoring of implementation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction.

“We know that the US has a number of programs, including with our neighbors, dedicated to research in the field of biology. And its refusing to establish a mechanism to monitor the implementation of the requirements of the Convention on Biological and Toxin Weapons suggests that these studies are not entirely peaceful,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, speaking to students and lecturers of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

According to Lavrov, Russia initiated the creation of the mechanism to monitor implementation of the convention. The US blocked the Russian initiative. If all of the biological and toxicological tests of Washington were purely peaceful in nature, then why does the country give up the unified monitoring mechanism for their implementation?

By the way, why does not the US use their ‘American technologies’ in this case? Americans could demonstrate a glass-tube with substances that the US produces in its biological laboratories for military purposes at a meeting of the UN Security Council. All the more so, we are not talking about a fake, as in the case with a glass-tube of Powell.

At some point you have to wonder if the US is able to make something more world destructive then nuclear bombs.
