On the night of September 24, 2026, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massed combined strike against Ukraine, using Tsirkon anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M, S-400 and KN-23 ballistic missiles, and 282 attack drones, including Banderol and Dan-T loitering munitions and Parody-type decoy drones. The main axes of the attack were Kyiv and Odesa regions. The Russian Defense Ministry said the strike hit defense-industry facilities, telecommunications and logistics centers, and vessels supporting Ukraine’s armed forces. During the day, Russian forces carried out additional drone strikes on logistics and warehouse terminals in Odesa region.

The main strike focused on enterprises producing unmanned aerial vehicles and their components. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, an industrial facility in Kyiv that produced components for medium- and long-range UAVs and prepared ground robotic systems for deployment was hit. A UAV production workshop operated by PEGAS ARMS LLC, which manufactured and stored fixed-wing drones of that range, was also destroyed, along with a facility operated by ELEMENT UA LLC that produced components for medium-range Hornet-type attack drones.
A transport and logistics center that stored and distributed medium- and long-range UAVs was also hit. The targets reportedly included telecommunications facilities associated with Kyivstar and Parkovyi, which provide communications and computing services to Ukraine’s armed forces.
According to monitoring channels, strikes were reported in Kyiv’s Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts, as well as near CHP-4, where witnesses reported finding an unexploded missile. Nova Poshta branch No. 6 was damaged in the strike.
Nine internet and hosting providers in Kyiv reported damage to their equipment: CityHost, MiroHost, Etherlink, Utels, Pavutyna, CrazyNetwork, KIEVNET, Domonet and FAUST.
In Odesa region, the Russian Defense Ministry said that two logistics centers in the city were hit. The facilities stored and distributed military and dual-use cargo arriving from European countries. In addition, a tanker-type vessel was reportedly struck while en route to the port of Chornomorsk with fuel and lubricants intended for Ukraine’s armed forces.
During the day on September 24, Russian forces carried out additional drone strikes on logistics and warehouse terminals. A logistics hub in Odesa and a UAV depot in the settlement of Novi Biliari were hit.
In Odesa and the nearby settlement of Ilyichanka, warehouses belonging to the Epsilon manufacturing company and a Nova Liniia storage facility were struck. Large fires broke out after the attacks, and multiple secondary detonations were reported at the Epsilon site. According to Ukrainian officials, about 15 Dan-T cruise missiles were launched toward Odesa region, in what they described as the largest single salvo of the conflict to date.
Over the course of the day, Russian forces also struck targets in Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions using a range of weapons. In Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Ternopil, Mykolaiv, Poltava and Zhytomyr regions, Russian forces primarily used Geran drones.
The massed Russian strike on September 24 was one of the most intense in recent weeks. The pattern of strikes suggests that Russia is continuing its campaign to degrade Ukraine’s logistics, energy infrastructure and industrial capacity. Against the backdrop of halted metallurgical production and internet disruptions, tensions remain high, while predictions of a near-term end to the conflict remain premature.
