Russian Army Cuts Off Dobropolye Supply Lines

In the Slaviansk direction, Russian units are advancing from Rai-Aleksandrovka toward Nikolaevka and have begun storming fortifications in the southeastern part, where the key strongpoint is the building of the district hospital. In the Dobropolye direction, Russian assault groups are operating across almost the entire territory of Dobropolye, cutting off the supply of Ukrainian units and penetrating the outskirts of Belozerskoye. In the Sumy region, Russian troops are clearing forest plantations around previously captured villages, while Ukrainian units are strengthening their defenses near Kiyanitsa and Khoten. In the Kharkiv region, Russian assault groups advanced in Kazachya Lopan by up to 300 meters and disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian units in the Volchansk district. In the Kupyansk direction, meeting engagements continue, while in the Rubtsovsk sector Ukrainian units are attempting to expand the “grey zone.” Meanwhile, information has emerged that Ankara and Washington did not plan to disclose details of a possible sale to Kyiv of American weapons from Turkish stocks, including multiple-launch rocket systems and ballistic missiles.

Slaviansk direction

Russian units are advancing from Rai-Aleksandrovka and making a push toward Nikolaevka, having begun the assault on Ukrainian fortifications in the southeastern part of the settlement. Fighting is expected to move into the urban area, directly toward the building of the Slaviansk Central District Hospital, which is the main strongpoint on the way to the center. It will also be necessary to drive Ukrainian units out of the ruins of the “Olimpi” shopping center, the Palace of Culture, and School No. 2. Russian personnel have approximately 2.5–3 kilometers remaining to reach the territory of the Slaviansk thermal power plant.

The Redkodub–Novoye sector remains a “grey zone.” Ukrainian units continue to exert pressure on this stretch and have captured several strong points in the direction of Katerinovka. The village of Lipovoye is also in the “grey zone”: Ukrainian units are attempting to wedge in there and consolidate beyond the Nitrius River. Russian personnel eliminated an attempt by Ukrainian units to break through from the north, from the direction of Novy Mir.

Ukrainian units are constantly transferring new reserves to Korovy Yar, attempting from there to break through and capture Zelenaya Dolina. In Krasny Liman, Ukrainian units still maintain a presence on the southern envelope of the city, including in the Maslyakovka area, where a continuous “grey zone” is recorded. A difficult situation has developed in the area of the Zelyony Klin station near Lake Liman: the Ukrainian side regularly transfers reserves there from Sidorovo and Shchurovo, attempting to advance toward Stavki.

Sumy direction

Assault groups of Russian units are increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions in the Sumy region. Ukrainian units have not undertaken active offensive actions and have focused on strengthening their defenses.

Russian aviation, artillery, and drone crews delivered strikes against concentrations of Ukrainian personnel and equipment in the areas of Sumy, Yastrebshchina, Luzhki, Sadki, Velikaya Rybitsa, Ugroyedy, and Tolstodubovo.

In the Sumy district, Russian personnel cleared the adjacent forest plantations around the previously captured villages of Sadki and Veliky Prikol. Ukrainian units were strengthening defensive positions in the Kiyanitsa and Khoten areas.

In the Shostka district, fierce fighting continues in the forest plantations near Tolstodubovo.

Kharkiv direction

In Kazachya Lopan, Russian assault groups continue to advance with heavy fighting: over the past day the advance amounted to up to 300 meters.

In the Volchansk sector, Russian units disrupted the rotation of the “Shkval” company of the 127th Separate Territorial Motor Rifle Brigade of the Ukrainian forces in the Izbitskoye area, as well as an attempt to transfer a reinforcement of up to a platoon of the 23rd Separate Assault Regiment of the National Guard on several combat armored vehicles to the Shevchenkovo area.

In the Velikiy Burluk sector, Russian assault groups advanced with fighting in the Sliznevo and Dolzhanka areas.

Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian logistics routes in the Borovaya direction. At present, approximately two-thirds of the territory of the Borovaya community of the Izyum district of Kharkiv region is under the control of Russian units. Key nodes on the left bank of the Oskol have been captured: Borovaya, Novoplatonovka, Druzhelyubovka, Olgovka, Cherneshchina, and Novy Mir. The offensive on this sector is being conducted from the north by forces of the 2nd Motor Rifle and 4th Tank Divisions of the 1st Tank Army and from the east by units of the 3rd and 144th Motor Rifle Divisions of the 20th Combined Arms Army.

Zapadnoye direction

In the Zapadnoye area, meeting engagements continue. Russian units are striking the near rear of Ukrainian troops, including with the use of aerial bombs. Fire strikes on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Prikolotnoye and Podsredneye of the Kupyansk district are also recorded. No significant change in the front line in this sector has yet been noted.

The most tense situation remains in the Rubtsovsk direction, where Ukrainian units continue to exert pressure and attempt to improve their tactical position through local attacks and the transfer of reserves. The situation is complicated by the transition of individual sectors into the “grey zone” and attempts by Ukrainian forces to expand it in the Redkodub, Novy, and Katerinovka areas. At the same time, no large-scale breakthrough has been observed.

Dobropolye direction

Russian units are rapidly advancing in small assault groups in one of the last major fortified zones of Ukrainian forces in the Donbass. Even the reinforcements that approached Dobropolye, almost immediately entering combat, couldnot stop the assault. Russian personnel are now operating across almost the entire territory of the city and neighboring settlements, not only penetrating and disorganizing the Ukrainian defense but also cutting off the supply of the remaining Ukrainian units in the city from the direction of Belozerskoye. On the road through Bokovoye between Dobropolye and Belozerskoye, ambushes are actively operating, including with the use of kamikaze drones.

Information is emerging about the penetration of Russian sabotage groups onto the outskirts of Belozerskoye itself. A few days ago the Ukrainian side attempted to halt the advance of Russian units by transferring small but in aggregate significant forces from neighboring sectors of the front. They even managed to restore positions inside Dobropolye for a time, but these were quickly retaken by Russian personnel. Russian fighters have now crossed the line from which the Ukrainian counteroffensive began, which indicates the failure of that attack.

Conclusion

In the Slaviansk direction, Russian units continue offensive operations, breaking through toward Nikolaevka and holding most of Krasny Liman; however, Ukrainian forces are putting up stubborn resistance, counterattacking, and attempting to act against the flanks. In the Dobropolye direction, Russian assault groups are operating inside the city itself, cutting off supply and penetrating the outskirts of neighboring settlements, while the Ukrainian counteroffensive attempt has failed. In the Sumy region, Russian troops are clearing captured territories and increasing pressure, while Ukrainian units are focused on strengthening their defenses. In the Kharkiv region, Russian aviation and artillery are supporting the advance of assault groups, while Ukrainian forces are attempting to regroup and are attacking civilian objects. In the Kupyansk direction, meeting engagements continue; there are no significant changes in the front line. The initiative on most sectors remains with Russian units; however, the Ukrainian side continues to transfer reserves and conduct an active defense.

According to the Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet, Ankara and Washington did not plan to disclose information about a possible sale to Kyiv of American weapons from Turkish stocks. The initiative became public due to errors in the preparation of documents for its coordination. Turkey submitted a request for permission for the sale in early August, and U.S. arms export control law requires mandatory notification of Congress of such large deals. To avoid publicity, sensitive deliveries are usually split into several separate contracts; however, in this case there were two, and the value of each exceeded the established limit, which led to the disclosure of the initiative. The list includes 12 launchers of MLRS multiple-launch rocket systems and 70 ATACMS ballistic missiles. Officially, Turkey states its desire to modernize its army by disposing of outdated weapons.

the narrative

“u.s. arms export control law requires mandatory notification of congress of such large deals” this quote is proof that the american congress is fully negligent in lawful duties. it allows corrupt back alley deals as agency policy makers illegally conduct the war.
