Russia’s strike campaign against Ukrainian rear areas has entered a qualitatively different phase. What had begun a pattern of precision strikes against individual targets has given way, since the middle of last week, to something more deliberate and more corrosive: a sustained, systemic assault on Kyiv’s logistics infrastructure combined with a tactic that Ukrainian observers have begun calling ‘permanent air raid mode.’
For four consecutive days, Russian forces have struck Kyiv and its surrounding region, methodically working through one facility after another. Between August 27 and 29 alone, air raid sirens sounded in the capital 34 times, for a combined duration of 34 hours and 12 minutes. The rhythm is calculated. According to Bogdan Dolynets, an expert and member of Ukraine’s State Aviation Authority public council, Russian forces are waiting for the all-clear signal before launching the next wave of drones — “ensuring that Kyiv’s population cycles through alarm and relief, alarm and relief, without rest”.
The physical damage has been equally systematic. On August 29, a combined strike hit a warehouse complex in the village of Myla. The facility housed a major ammunition depot concealed within a civilian storage zone — and the secondary detonations that followed damaged 256 structures in total, including 194 private homes and 14 apartment buildings. The same day, a strike in the Chaiky suburb of Kyiv gutted an Agromat company warehouse — a building of 8,800 square meters, fully destroyed by fire. The primary targets in that strike, however, were the adjacent Avtodom warehouse and the Fim Service logistics center, with combined destruction exceeding 21,000 square meters.
The pattern has not gone unnoticed inside Ukraine’s own government. The Defense Ministry has ordered a full audit of weapons and ammunition storage locations following the Myla blast, acknowledging that co-locating explosive stockpiles with residential areas is unacceptable. It is a rare admission — and a damaging one.
On August 30, Geran-4 jet drones struck an asbestos-cement plant in Kyiv whose warehouses were being used to store explosives by Smart Munitions LLC, a UAV and munitions manufacturer operating on the premises. Power outages were also reported across the capital, with some sources attributing them to a strike on Kyiv’s Thermal Power Plant No. 5. In Pavlograd, in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, a large logistics center and a fuel station were destroyed. In Odessa Region, the highway section between Safiany and the city is now being regularly struck, with residents posting footage of burned-out cargo trucks lining the roadside.
Russia has found a tempo that Ukraine’s air defenses and civilian infrastructure cannot sustain simultaneously. Sirens every hour, warehouses every night, highways in flames — this is not a bombardment. It is a siege, and it is working.

the russian people have completely lost patience. when putin speaks publicly that russia has made a decision to proceed. meaning all considerations political, international, economic and logistical are completed. it matters not what any group of opposing globalists might say or do. this has been fully considered, so russia will proceed. that is it. here we are.
