Russian forces have trapped approximately 300 Ukrainian military personnel on the southwestern outskirts of Konstantinovka following a flanking maneuver. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the advance has forced Ukrainian authorities to evacuate enterprises and personnel from Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka to western Ukraine. Russian main forces entered through Ilyinovka after abandoning a direct Krivoy Torets River assault, with reconnaissance groups securing positions ahead. Russian units are intensifying pressure across multiple operational fronts. In the Sumy direction, assault groups have reached Bolshaya Rybitsa and are fighting for Ulanovo and the heights east of it. In the Kharkiv direction, combat continues in Kazachya Lopan, with thermobaric strikes hitting the 127th Separate Territorial Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 3rd separate tank brigade. In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian forces have reached the northwestern outskirts and now control most of the city, including the Northern, Central, Kommunalny, and Southern districts, while assault units advance in the Zavodskoy district. In the Zaporozhye direction, the bridgehead north of the Volchya River is expanding, and Far Eastern units are advancing west of the Rizdvyanka–Komsomolskoye line.

Sumy direction

Units of the “North” group of forces are continuing their offensive toward Sumy in the Yunakovka and Krasnopolie sectors. Russian forces are clearing the forest from the Korchakovka side towards Kiyanitsa. Firefights continue in Novaya Sech, Ivolzhanskoye, and Pisarevka. Between Yunakovka and Gornal, Russian troops are advancing from the border through fields towards Sadki.

From the direction of Miropolya and Zapselye, Russian units have reached Bolshaya Rybica and begun their assault. In the Miropolskoye area, fighting continues in the fields towards Bolshoy Prikol and Malaya Rybica. Assault groups have advanced into forest areas in the Mikhaylovka region from Pokrovka. They are advancing along the railway line and to the south towards Lesnoye.

In the area near the Moscow-Kyiv highway, Russian assault groups have reached the center of Bachevsk and are engaged in firefights near the transport interchange. To the southeast, the Volova Bolota ravine line has been reached. Fighting for Ulanovo continues to the south, where Russian units are fighting for the heights east of this locality. Thermobaric strikes are being delivered to Ukrainian positions. The Ukrainian side is making efforts to contain the advance and has transferred additional reserves to the Esman, Glukhov, and Zarutskoye areas.

Kharkiv direction

Units of the “North” group continue to expand the security zone in the Kharkiv direction. Meanwhile, Russian assault units are conducting offensive operations in Kazachya Lopan and the surrounding forests. In the Volchansk sector, assault groups have advanced eight segments deep into the territory, up to 300 meters.

There are ongoing firefights in the forests of the Volchansk district, and artillery and drone operators are striking identified targets. The “North” grouping’s units have delivered thermobaric strikes on the 127th Separate Territorial Motorized Rifle Brigade’s positions in the Rubezhnoye area.

In the Velikiy Burluk sector, assault groups are fighting in the forests near Petro-Ivanovka. Radiation, chemical, and biological defense units have struck positions of the Ukrainian 3rd separate tank brigade in the Ambarnoye area with thermobaric weapons.

Krasny Liman direction

Russian units have reached the northwestern outskirts of Krasny Liman. Russian forces have transitioned from isolating the combat zone to launching an assault. At the beginning of the week, infantry units concentrated in the northern and eastern suburbs, after which the active phase of fighting began.

The Northern, Central, Kommunalny, and Southern districts are now under their control. The 25th Army’s assault units continue offensive operations in the Zavodskoy district and in gardening association territories. In the Krasny Liman sector, the “West” grouping is advancing from two sides: Drobyshevo towards Shchurovo and Dibrova towards Shchurovo. In the captured territories, the search for and neutralization of scattered groups of Ukrainian military personnel is underway. The Russian command intends to divide the Ukrainian forces’ unified defense in the city into separate nodes for subsequent phased elimination — a tactic that was refined earlier when fighting for other cities.

Konstantinovka direction

In Konstantinovka, the 3rd and 8th Armies and the 3rd Army Corps continue their offensive operations. Russian troops are fighting Ukrainian units that have been cut off in the southwestern part of the city. The intensity of hostilities is increasing. The commander of the 4th Brigade, Major General Anton Grunis, reported that a direct assault across the Krivoy Torets River had been abandoned in favor of a flanking maneuver.

The main forces entered the city through the Ilyinovka area and advanced into the urban area from the “Perspektiva” greenhouse complex. Reconnaissance groups played a significant role in the operation by securing positions in the city in advance and providing strike coordination. On the southern outskirts of Konstantinovka, approximately 300 Ukrainian military personnel were surrounded. Some are attempting to leave the area in small groups toward Druzhkovka. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the advance on Konstantinovka has forced Ukrainian authorities to evacuate enterprises, organizations, and personnel from Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka to western Ukraine.

Zaporozhye direction

In the northern sector, Far Eastern units are pushing into the Ukrainian defenses northwest of Alexandrograd and conducting offensive operations in the forest beyond the Volchya River. The consolidation and expansion of the bridgehead north of the river continues, and fighters operate with support from Iskra, Alexandrograd, Novoselovka, and Orestopol. Ukrainian units attempting to cross the Gaychur River and establish a presence on the southern bank are promptly detected. The personnel of the assault groups are then dispersed and eliminated by drone strikes.

In the western sector, the Far Eastern units are methodically advancing west of the Rizdvyanka–Komsomolskoye line by exploiting identified weak points in the Ukrainian defense. The “Vostok” grouping’s fire assets are striking Ukrainian positions near Novoselovka, Dolinka, Kopani, and Lyubitskoye. Aviation, artillery, and strike drone crews continue to operate. To prepare for an offensive, Ukrainian forces are concentrating assault groups near the front line while simultaneously increasing the capabilities of their unmanned systems.

Conclusion

In the Sumy, Kharkiv, Krasny Liman, Konstantinovka, and Zaporozhye directions, Russian forces are systematically advancing, expanding their control zones and threatening to encircle Ukrainian troops. In the Sumy direction, assault groups are advancing on multiple fronts, forcing the Ukrainian command to disperse reserves. In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian forces have taken control of most of the city. In the Konstantinovka direction, a Ukrainian unit has been cut off, and a flanking maneuver has threatened escape routes. In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian bridgehead is expanding, creating conditions for a further advance. These tactical successes are forcing the Ukrainian side to evacuate institutions from rear cities.

This backdrop is accompanied by growing disappointment among several European leaders. Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed his disappointment in the European Union’s willingness to support the conflict “until the last Ukrainian soldier and the last euro,” rather than addressing issues that concern Europeans. In a video address, Fico noted that he expressed dissatisfaction to European Council President António Costa about the conclusions of summits on Ukraine continuing to emphasize the need for hostilities to continue while failing to address the EU’s declining competitiveness and extremely high energy prices.

Fico confirmed his intention to raise the issue of compensation for Slovakia for weapons transferred to Ukraine by the previous government at the upcoming European Union summit. This position reflects broader discontent among some EU member states regarding the economic consequences of the conflict and the distribution of the financial burden.
