Defense Minister Israel Katz during a security assessment on April 22 said that Israel is ready to resume war against Iran.
“Israel is prepared to renew the war against Iran. The IDF is ready in defense and offense, and the targets are marked,” Katz said.
Katz added Israel is “awaiting a green light from the United States, first and foremost to complete the elimination of the Khamenei dynasty, the initiator of the extermination plan against Israel, and the successors of the successors of the leadership of the Iranian terror regime, and in addition to return Iran to the age of darkness and stone by blowing up central energy and electricity facilities and crushing national economic infrastructure.”
Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen publicly since he was appointed, with reports stating that he was severely injured in the strike that killed his father.
Katz also warned that “this time the attack will be different and deadly and will add devastating blows in the most painful places, following the enormous blows the Iranian terror regime has already suffered so far, that will shake and collapse its foundations.”
Earlier this week, U.S. President Donald Trump extended a two-week ceasefire with Iran following a request from Pakistan, saying it would remain in place until Tehran presents what he described as a “unified proposal.” However, he kept the blockade on the ports of the Islamic Republic.
Renewing threats to Iran on April 22, Trump said that he is “possibly the least pressured person ever to be in this position.”
“I have all the time in the World, but Iran doesn’t — The clock is ticking,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“A deal will only be made when it’s appropriate and good for the United States of America, our allies and, in fact, the rest of the World,” he added.
The recent threats by both Katz and Trump are clearly meant to mount more pressure on Iran. They also indicate that war could resume soon.
Although a second round of talks could be held soon in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, an agreement between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic is seeming less and less likely by the day.

a country in which generals are called cat differs only insignificantly from a country in which generals are called salami …heheheh
