Israel came under attack on March 29, with the Houthis (Ansar Allah) launching cruise missiles and drones from Yemen and Iran launching at least two ballistic missiles at targets in the region.
In a statement, the military spokesman for the Houthis said that a “salvo of cruise missiles and drones” targeted a number of “vital and military targets” in southern Israel, noting that the attack was carried out in support of Iran, as well as “resistance fronts” in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Iraq.
“This operation coincided with [other] military operations carried out by our mujahideen brothers in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and, by the grace of God, it successfully achieved its objectives,” Brig. Gen. Saree said, stressing that the group “will continue, with God’s help and reliance upon Him, to carry out their military operations in the coming days until the criminal enemy ceases its attacks and aggression.”
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), from its side, announced that one suicide drone was shot down over the Red Sea port city of Eilat in the evening, and earlier in the afternoon, a cruise missile was intercepted before reaching the borders of Israel.
Also in the afternoon, one of two ballistic missiles launched all the way from Iran was intercepted over Eilat, according to the IDF.
The other missile impacted what was described by the military as an “open area,” with Hebrew media reporting no casualties or damage.
In the morning, a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis was intercepted by the IDF. No injuries were reported as a result of the attack, which was the first from Yemen in the ongoing war on Iran.
The Houthis announced just a day earlier that they were ready to intervene militarily in the American-Israeli war on Iran under certain conditions, including if new allies join the United States and Israel or if the Red Sea is used to launch attacks on Iran.
Hebrew media reports indicate that Israel is planning to respond to the recent attacks from Yemen. The U.S. is not, however, expected to get involved.

uae territory is used to attack schools, universities, hospitals, desalination plants, powerplants, ports, kharg island & other civilian targets. iran needs to send message to the uae & the rest of the monarchies. if iran were to “visit” uae desalination plans first, to show intent. it wont cause humanitarian disaster or civilian deaths due to lack of potable water. the uae is 1 or 2 hour drive from oman & saudi. uae refugees will just have to move to neighboring countries.
