Israel Acknowledges Casualties As Hezbollah Attacks With Assad’s Rockets (Videos)

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged on March 6 that eight of its troops were wounded, five of them seriously, in a Hezbollah rocket attack.

The rocket struck a military position close to the Blue Line — a 120 kilometer demarcation line established by the United Nations — with Lebanon. According to a preliminary probe by the IDF, an alert sounded in the area, but the troops, who all serve with the Givati Brigade, did not manage to seek shelter in time.

The troops were taken to a hospital for treatment. Five were listed in serious condition and three were lightly hurt, the army said.

The office of Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich said that the minister’s son was among those lightly injured by the rocket attack.

Hezbollah resumed military operations against Israel on March 1, just a day after the start of the American-Israeli attack on Iran, ending a ceasefire in Lebanon that was brokered by the United States more than 15 months ago. Israel refused to withdraw from five points in southern Lebanon, and launched strikes on a regular basis throughout the ceasefire.

In the last two days, Hezbollah expanded its military operations beyond the front, where the IDF is currently conducting a ground operation, hitting military targets as far as central Israel using rockets and drones.

Videos released by Hezbollah’s Military Media revealed that the group is still in position of Fadi-2 heavy artillery rockets, which are Syrian M302s with a range of 100 kilometers and a warhead weighing 170 kg. The videos also show the group firing Nasir-1 precision guided rockets, which are basically to be M302s upgraded with a guidance kit. This version retains the 100 kilometer range, but with a lighter 100 kg warhead.

All of these rockets were made in Syria and supplied to Hezbollah during the rule of former president Bashar al-Assad, and it was widely speculated during the ceasefire in Lebanon that Hezbollah lost these capabilities.

Responding to this escalation by Hezbollah, the IDF carried out strikes in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, overnight and throughout March 6.

The overnight strikes hit ten multi-story buildings that were being used by Hezbollah in Beirut’s southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold known as the Dahiyeh, according to the military, which said in a statement that the buildings, including a drone warehouse and the headquarters of Hezbollah’s executive council, “were intended to be used by Hezbollah to advance and carry out numerous attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.”

A later wave of strikes in Dahiyeh struck the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as several Hezbollah sites, the military said.

According to the IDF, the headquarters served the IRGC air force. In addition, the military said it struck three Hezbollah headquarters — of the group’s naval force, executive council, and financial division.

The IDF strikes in Beirut were preceded by a mass evacuation order for residents in all four major neighborhoods of the Dahiyeh.

Hezbollah has since responded by issuing its own evacuation warning for Israeli settlements located near the border with Lebanon.

All in all, Hezbollah is putting on far more resistance than expected. The fact that the group retained its advanced rocket and drone capabilities, despite facing hundreds of Israeli strikes during the ceasefire, in addition to a demilitarization plan pushed by the Lebanese government, came as a surprise.

The new war in Lebanon, which has so far killed 123 people and wounded 683 others, could go on for several weeks, or even more. Hebrew media is even reporting that it could continue well after the end of the ongoing war with Iran. Defense Minister Israel Katz on March 6 said that Israel would defeat Hezbollah “one way or another”.

even when you point out multiple times the unnecessary vulgarity of their comments they just keep doing it. imo this is proof it’s done just to degrade the comments section and turn people away from sf.

hence just ignore them, and be aware of their strategy. and call them out each time to alert other readers. then question who might want to do this. expose them.

hasbarats

ukraine is another bacterial colony. no sane, normal country would be dong what “ukraine” is doing to itself. 3 case studies in jewish bacterial colonies: ukraine, israel and ussa. that is what you get when jews attempt to “rule”. you get bacterial colonies pretending to be countries.
