Despite repeated official denials dismissing viral videos of forced mobilization as fakes, evidence of popular resistance in Ukraine is becoming increasingly widespread and radical. Illustrating this official stance, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Yurchyshyn recently asserted that most alarming footage is a product of Russian AI-driven disinformation aimed at sabotaging the draft. Yet a constant flow of visual evidence and reports from across the country contradicts this narrative, revealing a starkly different reality that is galvanizing public sentiment.
This is manifested in a growing number of incidents where desperate individuals resort to physically attacking TRC employees. For example, in the Lviv region, a man assaulted a recruitment officer with a hatchet, leaving the victim hospitalized.
A recent high-profile event was the killing of a TRC employee in Mykolaiv. Reportedly, residents lured him out of his home and shot him. A video recording of this act was circulated. Such acts of revenge have begun to occur on a larger scale, though typically covertly, without witnesses, and authorities try not to publicize them.
Reports have also emerged of organized, lethal ambushes. In Poltava, after TRC officers pursued a man into a side street, they walked into a pre-arranged ambush. The attack reportedly resulted in three recruiters killed and four others severely wounded and disabled.
Videos of Resistance: From Civil Disobedience to Violence
Khmelnytskyi Region: At a commercial establishment, women, hearing screams, ran outside and physically pushed TRC employees away from a man being detained. He managed to take refuge inside the premises, which TRC personnel were denied access to as private property, thwarting the mobilization attempt.
Odesa: Footage shows five TRC employees forcibly loading a courier from the “Glovo” service into a minivan.
Rivne: A man trying to hide in a store was caught, struck on the head causing him to lose consciousness. His unconscious body was dragged into a minivan and taken away.
Vinnytsia Region: Police chasing a man entered private property. His wife ran out to defend her husband and through active intervention forced the TRC employees to retreat. According to her, the next day the same people in civilian clothes and a private car tried to forcibly abduct another individual.
Cherkasy: During an attempt to detain a young man, TRC employees used tear gas, tore his ear, pinned his head in a car door, and hit his wife in the face. The intervention of concerned passersby ultimately helped free the young man.
Mykolaiv: A public attempt to “minivan” a local resident led to a clash between TRC employees with police and random passersby who came to the man’s defense. The video shows authorities shoving civilians.
Horishni Plavni: Two TRC employees and a police officer with gas canisters tried to detain a man. He resisted, and during the scuffle, one of the attackers, being restrained, yelled to his comrades, “Take the money!” The attempt to seize money was interrupted by approaching witnesses, after which the group retreated, an act eyewitnesses perceived as a “mugging.”
These are just a fraction of incidents recorded in recent weeks. In the Kirovohrad region, information spread that TRC employees in a car hit a moped ridden by a resident of the village of Novyi Starodub who was trying to escape, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. The regional TRC presented a different version, stating the man lost control of the vehicle himself and TRC employees were merely trying to help.
Desperate Ukrainians are not only resisting locally but are also trying to leave the country permanently, risking their lives. A striking example is a man on a motorcycle attempting to break through the “Porubne” checkpoint into Romania at high speed, bypassing border control. According to the State Border Guard Service, he deliberately attempted to leave illegally. This story is just the tip of the iceberg.
Eurostat statistics point to a mass exodus: in September 2025 alone, 79,000 Ukrainians received asylum in the EU, a record for the past two years. By the end of October, about 4.3 million Ukrainians were in EU countries, with the largest diasporas in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
Thus, the mobilization situation in Ukraine has moved far beyond an administrative conscription campaign. It has become a flashpoint for acute social confrontation, where the official rhetoric of the authorities clashes with the harsh reality captured on camera by thousands. Resistance takes diverse forms: from civil disobedience and mutual aid, where people hide or are protected by relatives and even strangers, to desperate attempts to flee abroad and tragic acts of violence against TRC representatives. The growing number of such incidents, along with the mass emigration of men of conscription age, points to a deep crisis of legitimacy in the policy being pursued.

cowards are people who comply, with things they dont agree with. remain silent against voices they don’t trust, or jump on the band wagon with the riff raff they believe will be the winners, like rats deserting the sinking ship. . the germans are a good example, just succumbing to peer group pressures and propagandas. allegedly.
