The Republican Party officially nominated Donald J. Trump as the candidate of the Republican Party in the US 2016 presidential election.

Trump is set to formally accept the nomination during a speech at the convention on Thursday.

“It’s unbelievable. It’s surreal. I’m so proud of my father. I’m so proud. We all are,” Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, told CNN. “It’s amazing. He’s the ultimate outsider and he did it. We are so proud of him.”

New York totally cast 95 votes:

  • 89 for Trump;
  • 6 for Ohio Governor John Kasich.
