Rare video footage showing Ukrainian troops getting ambushed by Russian special forces somewhere in the special military operation zone surfaced online on October 1.
The ambush was carried out by a small group of special forces, who were equipped with thermal imagers and silenced assault rifles.
The group set up the ambush in a narrow dirt road after sneaking in from a nearby forested area. The special forces operators first targeted the Ukrainian troops, who were moving in a pickup truck, with a stunt grenade then sprayed them with bullets. Within seconds everyone aboard the vehicle was killed. Documents were apparently seized from the dead bodies.
Such operations are conducted by different Spetsnaz [Russian for special forces] units of the Russian military on a regular basis. However, they are usually kept under tight wraps.
The Russian military shares footage of such operations on the Day of Special Operations Forces, which is celebrated on February 27 of every year, although it never provides any details.
The Russian Ministry of Defense defines the term “special operation” as “methods and ways of fighting not characteristic of conventional forces: reconnaissance and sabotage, subversion and sedition, counter-terrorism, counter-sabotage, counterintelligence, guerrilla, counter-guerrilla and other activities”.
In line with this doctrine, Spetsnaz units are always prepared to conduct special operations both within the country and abroad, in peacetime and in wartime.
Details about the work of these units in Ukraine will likely be revealed only after the end of the special military operation, possibly even years later.

war is brutal. there is nothing to complain about if you are here to understand. a good soldier knows the terrible reality of war and seeks to avoid it if possible. that is why russia has been very measured in their use of force. the ethical warriors are the only real heroes, not the bullies killing women, children and the innocent.

the problem is that people just follow orders without thinking (ukraine/nato soldiers). add to that the problem of people not willing to research and learn, to break out of propaganda (once again ukie/nato). if people really knew what was going on they would simply refuse to take up arms. russia has no choice but to eliminate these armed killers irrespective of how sad or gory it is.
