Kiev forces in Seversk and its surroundings in the Donetsk direction are facing more pressure than ever, with the Russian military widening its control to the north of the city.
As of September 28, it was reported that the Yug [South] Group of Forces was approaching Dronovka from the north, advancing along the railroad. Russian troops are reported to be just under 1,5 kilometers away from the settlement from that direction. Another push towards the settlement was reported earlier this week from Serebrianka to the east.
Speaking to the TASS news agency, Russian military analyst Andrei Marochko revealed that Kiev forces are taking heavy losses there.
“The last outpost near the village of Dronovka is currently under very heavy fire from the Russian army, forcing the Ukrainian command to either redeploy its troops or withdraw them from the village, as the losses suffered by Ukrainian militants cannot be replaced due to the intense firepower. The enemy’s logistics here have been disrupted,” he said.
The advance north of Dronovka also improved the situation of Russian troops fighting in northern, northeastern and central parts of Yampil.
Both Dronovka and Yampil seem destined to come under the control of the Yug Group of Forces, although this could take time.
The capture of the two settlements will very much sever the road linking Seversk with Liman to the north. This would be catastrophic for the logistics of Kiev forces.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has intensified strikes on mine Number 6 located right to the northeast of Seversk, likely out of fear that the Yug Group of Forces could launch a surprise attack into the city from this direction. Although this area is very rough, such a scenario is not completely out of the question.
Recent videos from Seversk and its surroundings indicate that much of Ukraine’s recent losses there were caused by drone units working with the Yug Group of Forces.
Overall, the situation of Kiev forces in Seversk is only getting worse. Soon, Ukraine may not be even able to push more reinforcements to the city. A major collapse there is not likely, but not completely impossible. Still, there are no reports indicating that Kiev is preparing a counterattack, or at least building a defense line behind Seversk.

i think they are trying to lure the russian forces to kiev where they will be defeated and then the ukrainians will march on moscow and will break up russia into various territories and britain, france, germany etc will all be allocated a mandate to administer different regions with exploration rights throughout the former russian empire. they probably have secret plans like sykes picot drawn up for russia who gets what..
