The Houthis (Anasar Allah) acknowledged on August 30 that Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed along with a number of other ministers in the recent Israeli attack on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
During the attack, which took place on August 28, at least ten strikes hit different parts of the Yemen capital, Sanaa, which hosts the Houthi-run government.
“We announce the martyrdom of the fighter Ahmed Ghaleb Nasser Al-Rahawi… along with several of his ministerial colleagues, as they were targeted by the treacherous Israeli criminal enemy,” a statement by Houthi leader Mahdi al-Mashat says.
Al-Rahawi, who served as prime minister to the Houthi-led government since August 2024, was targeted along with other members of his government during a routine workshop held by the government to evaluate its activities and performance over the past year, according to a statement released by the group.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported on August 29 that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) assessment was that the entire Houthi cabinet, including the prime minister and 12 other ministers, were likely killed in the attack on Sanaa.
The network noted, however, that the assessment is not definitive and that the IDF is still working to reach a more definitive understanding of the strike’s results.
On the same day, the IDF confirmed that the attack also targeted the Houthis’ army chief of staff, Muhammad al-Ghamari, and defense minister, Mohamed al-Atifi.
However, the Houthi-run SABA news agency published statements from al-Ghamari and al-Afifi, on August 29 and 30, respectively, denying that they were killed in the Israeli attack.
The attack on Sanaa was the sixteenth to be carried out by the IDF against the Houthis. In one of the previous attacks, Israel attempted to assassinate al-Ghamari, but failed. Most of the remaining strikes targeted civilian infrastructure in Houthi-run areas.
The IDF attacks have so far failed to deter the Houthis. In fact, Israeli officials told Hebrew media on August 30 that the group launched a ballistic missile from Yemen overnight. According to the officials, the missile fell short in Saudi Arabia, and thus no sirens sounded in Israel.
Since March 18, when the IDF resumed its offensive in Gaza, the Houthis have launched 72 ballistic missiles and at least 23 suicide drones at Israel.
The assassination of al-Rahawi and his ministers was without doubt an achievement for Israel, but it will not lead to any change in the stance of the Houthis.

i hope all these assassinations make mossad’s job harder in future as security teams adapt to the traitorous jews…i guess bibi mikeilowski’s security details must be the best on earth but will it always be so??? surely elements in iran, yemen, iraq, lebanon, palestine and syria and even israel want him dead?

highly likely that israeli datamining was greatly helped by that peace conference with western participation some months back. phone hopping software and all that. and following all the leads until you get to some vip person. from one vip person to another vip person is not so difficult, they will meet sooner or later.
